She understood both the complexities and straightforwardness of robust life. 
She also wrote: "There is a muscular energy in sunlight corresponding to the spiritual energy of wind."

    She was from the one in PA but was very popular on the West Coast. She lived in the Pacific Northwest for awhile, but ended up back on the East Coast and taught at various institutions there.
Personally, I couldn’t stand her..she was all about self-conscious ‘religious” female nature loving and musings upon herself. She became a Catholic for a few years because she liked Teilhard de Chardin. ‘Nuff said.
Then she went on with her world-religion pantheism and was very popular among Episcopalians, especially on the Left Coast.
