SPOILER ALERT: I still have my $10.
Remember the bygone era of the "Big Three" anchors in which almost everybody could easily rattle off the names of the major network anchors? Dan Rather of CBS, Tom Brokaw of NBC, and Peter Jennings of ABC? Well, as you can see in this video, those glory years for the network news are long over. To illustrate this, on April 29, 2023 I offered $10 to people I met at the Ft. Lauderdale Swap Shop to name for me all three anchors of those same networks.
Having stopped watching the networks decades ago, I’m not sure who are the “three networks”?
PING!
With Free Republic, Liberty Daily etc. who cares who they are.
Tom Brokaw, Harry Reasoner, and Walter Cronkite? I didn’t know that the networks even still did the news. The dog is dead, but the tail still wags, I suppose.
ABC David Muir
NBC Black guy with glasses
CBS some woman?
I’m guessing Muir, Stephanopoulos and O’Donnell, but I haven’t watched the network news since it was Rather, Brokaw, and Jennings. Somebody tells me Lester Holt should be in their somewhere.
Which one has Howard Beale?
Best anchor ever, and this is tri-state region of Phila. John Facenda. Still remembered as the Voice of the NFL.
That would be ABCNNBCBS. Of course!
Looking at that picture I can understand why.......The one thing missing is a big sign hanging from your neck that says "REPENT! THE END IS NEAR!"
LOL!
The guy on the video who said that to me was funny. As you can see, while holding his cell phone, he told me he could tell me who it was in just a minute... Obviously AFTER checking his phone for the answer. I told him the rule about NOT checking his cell phone but that didn't deter him because about a minute later I heard him yelling out the answer. Of course that was AFTER he saw it on his cell phone.
Watters World should it. $5 to be asked the question(on camera) and $5 for the correct answer.
Do it during election season.
they didnt even understand the question....geez
So basically STEAL my idea without credit?

CBS keeps Gayle King on ‘Morning’; Norah O’Donnell shifts to ‘Evening News,’ Jeff Glor responds
So it was Jeff Glor.
Then it was Norah O’Donnell
as of 2019
“”CBS Evening News with Norah O’Donnell” will kick off this summer in New York before relocating to Washington this fall.
“Jeff Glor as we all know is a fantastic journalist and trusted colleague here,””
NBC would be Lester Holt.
I know their code names:
Mockingbird 1
Mockingbird 2
Mockingbird 3
Chet Huntley, David Brinkley, and Walter Cronkite.
