One of my great fears is falling. Falling from heights. Actually more of a panic than a just a fear. And I am sure there are a lot of you out there who suffer from the same fear. And since this is Friday, or "Viernes" in Spanish, I present Vertigo Viernes to add yet more fuel to your fear of heights.
Never saw it, but thanks for the recommendation. It will be better viewing than watching those prima donnas on the NFL draft.
I was once on the ledge of a skyscraper in NYC. I discovered I was not afraid of heights. But I do have a fear of narrow widths.
Wow! Really? “Vertigo” is a classic. IMHO the BEST Alfred Hitchcock film.

I have no problem flying aircraft but you put me next to a ledge and everything puckers up.

What i’m afraid of is edges heights don’t bother me as do those freaking edges. Really scared the poo poo caca out of me. Talk about things hurting. The first thing that hurts is my thing.

Same here, parachuting, rappelling out of helicopters 100 feet in the air, STABO extractions, even a little mountain climbing, and rock climbing, bridge diving but I hate heights, which of course heightens the adrenaline rush.
I did notice that on days or nights of 3 jumps, I was very tired, which I think was caused by having to deal with the fear of heights and how your body is affected by the adrenaline dumping.
My guess was that about half of Airborne troopers are afraid of heights.
I was never afraid of heights. The Air Force even had to ask me that question when I was in Basic Training because I was to live underground with the Titan II ICBM and the Launch Duct was around 160 feet deep.
The highest building I was on was the Vertical Assembly Building down at Kennedy Space Center. I went down there for a business trip and they took me up to the roof. I go to look over the edge and it was REALLY far down. It was awesome and I wish I could do it again.
I like low wings and twins, too ;-).
