In a CNN This Morning segment on Fox's firing of Carlson, repeated mentions were made of an alleged culture of misogyny and sexism at his show.
Fair-'n-balanced journalistic standards would have made it incumbent on CNN to discuss serious allegations of sexism and misogyny against its own fired host, Lemon.
But not a peep about Lemon's transgressions out of his former co-hosts, Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins, or from CNN media reporter Sara Fischer. The focus was exclusively on Carlson's alleged misdeeds.

CNN trying to bury the Don Lemon story and move on. But happy to dwell on Tucker’s firing.
Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
who even watches this program?
Who cares about those three losers? But we are reminded of every slobber and burp from them here at Free Republic. Wonder why?
I do! Then again, it’s part of my NewsBusters beat. Otherwise, fuggedaboutit!
Of course not..that would involve actual JOURNALISM, which has been dead for what, 30+ yrs now
I blog for NewsBusters [governs=Finkelstein.] And at NewsBusters, we believe that keeping tabs on what the other side is doing is valuable. Our motto has been, “Exposing and Combatting Liberal Media Bias.”
I respect the fact that not everyone sees the merit in that approach.
CNN is not going to get far with the sexist claims. Murdoch says that had nothing to do with the firing of Tucker Carlson, that the woman made a bunch of unsubstantiated claims against Carlson and other Fox employees and they were supporting him on those.
That was in the same article in which Murdoch said that he didn’t like all the spirituality coming from Tucker. Evidently he was referring to speech that Carlson made at the Heritage foundation, where he called on everyone to start praying more and said that he was sorry hadn’t been praying, himself.
It sounds to me that those remarks could give Tucker grounds for a law suit over the firing.
The purge is going on in the media controlled opposition wing right now.
Makes me wonder if saboteurs are at work here.
So easy to cancel an adversary. This in itself smacks of sexism.
He's got lawyers all over this.
I am sure that he does have lawyers all over this. As a matter of fact, he said as much in an interview with Daily Mail. People thought that Carlson was going to do a tell all interview, but he said that wasn’t what this is about, that his lawyers are in talks with FOX all day. He said that he was not given a reason for being fired.
Meanwhile, when Murdoch was asked the question, he said it had nothing to do with that woman’s law suit. He then went on to say that he didn’t like all the spirituality. That is something that I am sure was not vocalized before, especially to the press.
My theory is that Tucker and Lemon got fired at the same time, so the ‘news’ is shown to be ‘fair’ - treats both sides equally.
See how quick Lemon comes back, in a higher posn.
I’d be surprised if the “toxic workplace” allegations were even a blip on the radar.
I think this is all about creative control. You could see that there was a struggle going on in the C Suite when Tucker first rolled out the “alternative history” January 6 tapes. That ran for 1 or 2 nights, even though it was clear from Carlson’s reporting that there was a lot more tape to be run.
Then, crickets.
Tucker was clearly told to back off the J6 tapes or else. Then he got his teeth into the whole vaccine thing and the Pfizer/Faucci dance of death. That was bad for the swamp. But the last straw was Going after the trans “community” and calling them out for the violent nut-cases that they are. That was unforgivable.
Ironically, now Tucker is truly free to do and say whatever he wants. He has a huge and loyal following to bring to the table at his next job. If he stays in cable TV, he could be #1 in cable news again...instantly, wherever he lands. His firing only increases his creds in the news reading business. And if he can only tone down his bursts of laughter on air, he brings a new gravitas to the battlefield.
That and bout $25 million annually could make him the next Rush Limbaugh.
Just my 2c.
