It might be worth asking....what the CIA got in return. They didn’t do this for being nice. There had to be a hefty price that Israel gave for the ‘favor’.

They got to him. Maybe they blackmailed him, or threatened him, either way, the Agency gets what it wants. No single politician is going to stop them. We’d need a tidal wave of public outrage to ever rein them in.
The “Szulc business” Angleton refers to is a report by journalist Tad Szulc about Angleton assisting with the Israeli nuclear program, in 1978:
That leak probably happened around the time of the hearings, which is why they are asking Angleton about it. Otherwise, Congress would have never known to ask, and Angleton would have never volunteered it.

Also, this LinkedIn story talks about Angleton having two jobs, as chief of counterintelligence, and handling the “Israeli account”, as they are referring to it.
However, Angleton actually may be admitting to a third role as well in an unredacted portion of the document. He says: “in 1954, I had a special operation unit, and I was made head of counterintelligence”. Special operations and counterintelligence are two different roles. Perhaps he meant he was in special operations before they promoted him, but he doesn’t explicitly say that. This leaves open the possibility that he continued to control that special operations unit even after he was promoted to chief of counterintelligence.
And how exactly do you shoot up from the level of the ground and hit someone in the backseat of a limousine that is approaching? Talk about a magic bullet theory!

This stuff, can make one wake up at 3 am and wonder what else we didn’t know about then.
I think by 75 Angleton was so lost in the wilderness of mirrors that little he said could be taken seriously. He was a dedicated Patriot who became as true a Cold War casualty as anyone.
It’s kind of strange how James Angleton’s Jesus middle name is nearly always mentioned in anything written about that dubious character. As far as I know, there’s not some other famous James Angleton from whom the middle name distinguishes him. It’s like there’s this weird fascination with the man having Jesus as a middle-name, but it’s not that weird in the Hispanic culture. What many don’t realize is that the man’s mother was Mexican, and he was a “James Hay-Zoose.”
I cant say whether the gentleman helped Israel or not.
But, the Israel Defense Forces already had more advanced weapons than discussed in the article. So, it seems doubtful (or at least it contains inaccuracies)

They keep saying that JFK was killed over thr reactor in Israel. Now we know the CIA was in on nuclear weapons and the nuclear reactor, against JFK’s orders. They just needed a former director with connections, and a complaint VP to make it all happen…

Not being steeped in this topic, it would take a time and energy to evaluate the contents. The next to last paragraph claims a significant Watergate connection.
General impressions, strong arguments, proof, may be three distinct things.
I know it made a strong impression on me when I saw video of the Q-anon Shaman walking with Capital Police, who seemed to be leading him on a tour of the Capital building on January 6th.
Similarly, it makes a strong impression if there is a strong overlap of personnel between the Kennedy assassination and the Watergate break-in. The same motive has been suggested in both cases, to protect the CIA.
It is not hard to follow that trail from JFK to Trump and his change of mind. BECAUSE it would have hurt Israel. Someone has a Son in Law that likely sees his allegiance as “his people” not the US government, or his boss DJT.
The road was not a flat terrain.
