Top secret US documents that have been leaked to the public show that corporate media is blatantly lying about the level of death and overall casualties experienced by Russian military forces in their special operation in Ukraine and that the US government is using artificially low numbers provided by the Ukrainian government to cover up that nation’s true battlefield death tolls. The Ukraine leak represents the largest US intelligence leak since a decade ago, when computer intelligence consultant Edward Snowden proved to the world that the United States government was spying on its own citizens, under the guise of national security. Now, the leak of intelligence documents pertaining to the Russo-Ukrainian War proves that the United States government, in concert with corporate media, is lying to its citizens in an apparent effort to drag out the war in Ukraine and pump up artificial support for it at home.
While countless corporate media reports in the United States and the wider NATO world have claimed that Russian forces have lost a whopping 200,000 men since the special military operation in contested regions of Ukraine kicked off last year, US intelligence reports put the figure around 43,000.

Tragically, these figures are far from reality. Ukrainian soldiers and observers of the Ukrainian war effort have reported multiple times since the conflict heated up last year that the Ukrainians have been ordered NOT to retrieve the bodies of their fallen comrades so that the fallen men won’t be officially reported as military deaths, keeping the figures artificially low. As a result, thousands of Ukrainian fighters are thought to have been buried in mass graves.
According to estimates from the Donetsk People’s Republic, the pro-Russia separatist region that broke away from Ukraine in 2014, in the battle for Bakhmut alone, Ukrainian deaths have dwarfed the 17,500 figure they claim to have lost in the entire war. The DPR says that Ukraine has so far lost over 20,000 men in Bakhmut.
The battle for Bakhmut and other military engagements has been so deadly for Ukraine, that Ukrainian military commissars are kidnapping and conscripting young men in broad daylight in an effort to keep their ranks full. When new recruits and conscripts reach Bakhmut, they are expected to survive just four hours.

Yes, our government is obfuscating. Evidently, Russia will complete the conquest of Bakhmut in a month or so and will pretty much control the Donbas region.
Our government has been misrepresenting the truth, probably so we won’t object to money being sent.
I think they go beyond believing and are actively involved in deception.
Russia has a history of “winning” by throwing a lot of bodies into the conflict. To beat Russia, in a long-term war, it is often necessary to have a 5 to 1 or even a 10 to 1 kill ratio.
While Ukraine is fighting bravely, and have caused a lot of casualties in their battles, they need to stack more bodies to win the war.
Corporate media is our enemy. Sadly, Americans refuse to see it, and will feel the pain that will result from such a foolish mistake.
Nice to get some vindication. Many gullible freepers here, mostly good people, have been duped. As Mark Twain said (and I paraphrase) it’s easier to fool people than to tell people they’ve been fooled.
This preemptive announcement is not in keeping with the "wait until then last possible second" response our Government usually gives, especially on a matter of classified documents.
This is an artillery war. Russia has vastly more artillery than Ukraine - and more ammo.
How in the world does anybody believe that its not Ukraine that is taking vastly more casualties?

I don’t have any interest in what is going on half around the world because there are three media entities involved here.
Russia and Ukraine are overly corrupt counties. Our media can’t be trusted, so why waste the time to believe any of it.
....I don’t have a dog in this fight, to use a time-worn expression, but...isn’t Douglas MacGregor, Colonel, United States Army (Retired) owed at least some apologies here... I believe he has been stating for some time that the information we of the great unwashed are being fed is simply not the truth....the United States has poured untold billions of dollars of all kinds of military and other aid to Ukraine, and for what....? Jus’ askin’ .......
I long ago found the solution to the effect of our lying (propaganda shedding/spreading) Media.
I wrote one of the networks at the time and told them I finally found a way to cope with their lies. And I rediscovered the OFF SWITCH.
Of course I got no response and expected none.
I’ve not read a newspaper or watched TV for 15-20 years.
My wife had it on for noise. She died in 2018.
I married again 3 years ago. We never turn TV on. She gets her news from her smart phone. We have multiple TV’s but they are never on.
She and I discuss the news, daily.
