President Donald Trump eviscerated Governor Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., in his ongoing battle against Disney and its Magic Kingdom in Orlando.
“Ron DeSanctimonious totally caved in his public relations inspired battle with Disney,” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Sunday. “That’s the only reason he went after them in the first place, to show Mr. Tough Guy. Disney maintained complete exemption from property & sales tax, tax-free bonds, and their incredible fast track permitting.”
As reported by RSBN, Gov. DeSantis recently signed legislation in February (HB 9B) that ended Walt Disney World’s self-governing status by terminating the corporate kingdom’s special privileges in Florida.
This move came after a months-long skirmish with Disney following their public criticism of DeSantis’s falsely labeled “Don’t Say Gay” bill, which simply prohibited sexual instruction in the classroom for children up to third grade.
DeSantis’s newest legislation purportedly ended Disney’s control over the Reedy Creek Improvement District, as well as their exemptions from state regulatory reviews and approvals, via RSBN.
However, President Trump has hit back at this “public relations inspired battle with Disney,” accusing DeSantis of playing games with Floridians and Americans at large.
“They [Disney] also gave big political contributions to DeSanctus,” Trump continued. “The whole thing is a Hoax – They probably worked together to make him look like a fighter. Read Rick Foglesong, preeminent authority on Disney.”
Trump is not the only one to criticize DeSantis’s war with Disney and claim that it may be shallower than it appears. In his statement, Trump directed supporters to read Rick Foglesong, whom he called a “preeminent authority on Disney.” Foglesong recently published an opinion piece in the Orlando Sentinel that took a hammer to DeSantis’s “war” with Disney.
In it, Foglesong claimed that Disney has maintained its exemption from property and sales tax and still enjoys fast-track permitting privileges. Per RSBN, HB 9B replaced the Reedy Creek Improvement District with a state-run board that would strip Disney of its control over the special tax district.
According to Foglesong, DeSantis’s politicized war with the House of Mouse has been skin-deep. He noted that when Orange County implemented a law-enforcement tax for property owners in unincorporated parts of their county, Disney was exempted from it.
Foglesong wrote:
“Was this abuse corrected by DeSantis and the Legislature? No, a ‘new sheriff’ may have come to town in the form of a new board of supervisors, as DeSantis called it, but the powers and prerogatives of the board essentially remained the same.
And what of the $1 billion in bonded debt they inherited? Beforehand, Reedy Creek borrowed a lot because they could borrow so cheaply, claiming the district contained a city with real residents and therefore able to issue tax-free municipal bonds. Tax-free as in subsidized by the federal government aka federal taxpayers.”
Newsweek also reported in 2022 that between 2019 and 2021, Disney Worldwide Services donated over $100,000 to the Friends of Ron DeSantis PAC, per the Florida State Department’s campaign finance database.
There is not one kernal of truth in that statement.
What a chump.
Joe Average isn’t who buys and develops and owns the land in cities. Wake up!
“Beats actually losing to a braindead senile geezer...”
You mean you actually are stupid enough to believe that the braindead senile geezer won 80 million votes. If so, you are in the same shoes.
The WEF controlled media tells us voters hate Trump.
However, Trump gained what? 10 or 12 million votes in 2020? And then doesn't include the ones that were tossed out by the corrupt Democrat controlled election boards and their minions.
“thank you for continuing to prove your willful ignorance...”
Now that really, really puts the day down where the goats can get it.
But could you enlighten me?
Absolutely, it’s a target rich environment, which DOES NOT include DeSantis.
Well, if you can’t figure it out, Trump has no insecurities over the snowflake.
Trump is in 2015/2016 mode.
Low Energy Jeb
Lyin Ted

Would concur
Trump had to beat every R before he had to beat Hillary.
And Trump hasn’t ignored King Brandon..
I suspect every R that goes to places like Iowa when it’s a campaign season, are going to get the attention of Trump..
Enjoy the campaign season!
Trump is scared. He is showing weakness.
So now you're making up what's in a plan that doesn't even exist yet.
And you still haven't answered the question yet.
UN/WEF Agenda 2030 pitches selling federal land back to private citizens?
That's three times that I've asked you.
Yep and every time I start feeling really favorable about DJT again he says some dumb shit that makes me question his fitness for office
enlighten yourself instead of playing your stupid games...
Nice.
I have no problem with Trump’s attacks on the little ingrate from Florida.
DeSantos can take the high road because his acolytes have been bashing the 45th President, almost daily, since before the midterms were finished.
The frequency & intensity of attacks on DeSantos are just starting, they’ll really “kick into gear” once DeSantos enters the primaries.
Will Donald stop acting like a 2 year old?
Come back to Planet Earth.
76 year old baby.
I’ve read your posts. Even someone as blind as yourself has to realize that it’s nuts to contend that Trump splits the Republican vote and wins as an independent. A solid 35 % of the electorate hates his guts. Another 15%, the rat vote, will not vote for any republican. That leaves half. Even if Trump steals 95% of the GOP vote from DeSantis, he still loses. Jiggle the numbers as you like, and DeSantis would win a lot more than 5%, and tell me how your math works out. You’re delusional
“If what Ft. Lauderdale resident Roger Stone says is correct, Trump could be right on this…”
I’ve gotten all the way to your post (#48) and you’re the first to wonder if Trump is correct. Strange!
