And yeah, Germany did attack some of ships. Why?
Because the Brits had a Naval Blockade of Germany, that was choking them.
A true “neutral” would have demanded Britain lift their blockade of Germany to allow American ships to go there, otherwise we wouldn’t risk American lives to supply the Brits.
But we were never really “neutral” were we?
If I’m not mistaken, that is our ZELL MILLER!!! A man who knew what truth meant and wasn’t afraid to speak it and leave the democrat party and congress behind...deceased now but always missed!
Don’t overlook that Wilson demanded a German ‘democracy’ that led to Hindenburg appointing Hitler when the Brits wanted a UK-style limited monarchy with Wilhelm II as titular head and calming influence.
Von Hindenburg and Ludendorff should have been executed as war criminals. Would have saved a lot of trouble a generation later.

I have no love for Russia (not the people-the leadership) so I have been rooting from day one to see them get their nose bloodied.

If the European nations are so damned concerned about Russia, they should be contributing men, money, and equipment, and not in piddling relative amounts they have.
There is zero chance of the US entering combat in Eastern Europe over Poland - particularly after Germany switches sides.
Hindenburg despised Hitler, and did everything he could to stop him, but he pretty much had no choice. Like most, he figured Hitler wouldn't last long.
Your point about having a monarch over "democracy", I do agree with 100%. Just as it was wise to keep Hirohito after WWII.

As long as European chaos increases the price of energy, then expect Russia to embrace chaos. If the U.S. and Europe drilled and mined as much energy as they could, Russia wouldn't have a cash inflow to pay for their military.

Zelenskyy is a piece of crap. No Ukrainian is worth a single American life. Screw NATO. It’s an American funded protectorate so Europeans can fund their socialist programs. It lost all importance when the Iron Curtain fell. Europe needs to take care of their own damn problems. America needs to keep out of other nations’ business.
‘Democracies’ are forced to compromise on things that should not be compromised. People choose their poisons, or have it imposed on them.

Seems pretty simple to me, of course, NATO would be fighting Russia if invaded, but the responses and arguments will ignore it and be about something entirely different.
