...and particular reason why we still need libraries, or especially librarians? Maybe to deliver porn to our kids?
2 Thessalonians 2
1 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you,
2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come.
3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,
4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things?
6 And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time.
7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.
8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.
9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders,
10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,
12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
I’m just so over these people. *sigh*
On one hand, Leftists can’t let children enjoy childhood.
OTOH, once they reach adulthood, Leftists revert to adolescence.
Meanwhile, “sensitivity readers” have received permission to alter the wording in Ron Dahl’s children masterpieces. Augustus Gloop will no longer be referred to as “fat” Guess kids will just have to infer that he is when he gets stuck in the pipe. The Ommpa Loopas a tribe of little men will be referred to a “little people.” Only God knows what will happen to the BFG.
As my dad would say, "Not worth the powder to blow them to hell."
That was my first thought, too. They had that many sexually explicit books?!!!
Good. One less man-child having a hissy fit at tax-payer’s expense. No more of this jerk thrashing on the floor screaming to get his way.
Now wouldn’t it be nice if they had to put Huckleberry Finn and To Kiil a Mockingbird into the library.
To Kill a Mockingbird is early 1960s white knight liberal horse poop.
I find it disgusting that my Baby Boomer generation tried to burnish their morality by displaying the attitude they would have stepped into Finch’s place if they had been asked. They never had that sort of courage.
And, as a corollary, that this teacher, and apparently the Washington Post, saw nothing wrong with a library full of sexually explicit books for middle schoolers!
Brian Covey - “PERMANENT substitute teacher”.
Permanent? I guess now he’ll have to go out and get a real job somewhere. GOOD RIDDANCE, Brian… enjoy the real economy.
In many schools they have so many teachers that it is a certainty that someone is going to be out. So you have a substitute teacher there every day ready to step in.
Lots of companies have permanent temporary workers on staff because it makes more sense to have someone who is there to fill in who already knows the job.
Precisely! It seems it never even occurred to the teacher or to WaPo that anyone would think it was wrong or bizarre for a jr. high library to have a larger collection of porno books than the biggest big city porno book stores.
It makes it crystal clear what these perverts are imagining that middle school kids do all day in class.
As I’ve said many times on the forum, leftists do everything they can to increase their odds of engaging in sexual activity. Everything. Poisoning the minds of children is at the top of the list.
