Springfield police are investigating a report from Kenwood Elementary School that allegedly involved several students and a racial incident.
Officers were called to the school around 10 a.m. Monday about an incident that happened Friday during recess on the playground, according to the police report, which states assault and menacing as the potential offenses.
The school principal told officers that a group of Black students gathered several white students on a spot of the playground “and forced them to state, ‘Black Lives Matter,’ against their will,” the report stated.
The principal said a few of the students who tried to avoid the situation were “chased down and escorted, dragged or carried” back to the spot on the playground, and one student was punched in the head by one of the suspects, according to the report.

So now it is correct form to capitalize ‘black students’ but not ‘white?” Why is ‘black’ capitalized but not ‘white?’ If the writer of this article wants to know where the problem is coming from, perhaps they should look in the mirror.

Summary: some Black students made a group of White students say “Black Lives Matter”. Some of the Whites were escorted, dragged or carried back to the spot where they had to do the recitation.
I’m with you. I don’t capitalize either because I believe skin color is irrelevant to character.
They are just mimicking US Government, Media and present culture.

I was sure this was an article about White kids harassing blacks on the playground (happens all the time, you know) - that is national news, never the other way around.
Glad it made the news but remains to be seen if anything is done about it. White parents should immediately withdraw their children from this “sckool.”
I too am bothered by articles that capitalize “Black” but not “White” - this is being done on purpose to further denigrate Whites.

We have one in Florida about 65 miles from here.
And my daughter’s elementary school was named ‘Kenwood’!...............
If this crap happened when I was growing up, there would be some kids thrown down steps. I’m referring to an event that I saw, but did not participate. It solved the problem. No teachers, no administrators and no cops were ever involved.
It probably only made the news because some kids video’ed it. The video is being suppressed.

Wow, I’m shocked it is being called a “racial” incident. Isn’t this just part of the regular CRT curriculum? It was nothing but a special struggle session held for the white kids by the anointed ones.
