As RedState reported, another shoot-down has taken place, this time over Lake Huron in US airspace. That followed a frenzy over the last several days of intercepts of unidentified flying objects, with others downed over Alaska and Canada.
What in the world is going on? We joke about it being aliens, but it’s not aliens, right? So why is the White House being so tight-lipped? Are we to believe the fighters that blew these things out of the sky weren’t able to tell what they were? The current dynamic is just weird. We could be on the brink of a hot war with China and Joe Biden is nowhere to be found. I get it’s the weekend, but he’s the President of the United States.
What makes the Lake Huron takedown especially confusing and concerning, though, is the conflicting messages. My colleague Nick Arama reported on revelations that the object was an “octagon” and was at 20,000 feet. That doesn’t sound like a balloon, which is what Chuck Schumer previously claimed.
Now, Fox News reporter Jennifer Griffin has provided another key detail.
From colleague Jennifer Griffin. Object US shoots down object from 20,000 feet over Lake Huron. Not like the balloon. No positive indentification

That seems to be a pretty definitive statement that it wasn’t a balloon. And if it wasn’t a balloon, then what the heck was it? Was China really flying some futuristic craft over US airspace? It also strikes me as exceptionally odd that the F-16s that intercepted the object weren’t able to identify it. There aren’t that many things it could be if its origin is Earth. It’s an octagon but not a balloon and no one knows what it is. This is some crazy stuff.
Assuming this is the work of the Chinese, we should probably figure out what their intentions are in short order. Their inundating US airspace with foreign objects is obviously deliberate, and I doubt they are doing it just so our fighter pilots can get some target practice. There has to be more to this story than the Chicoms just being really stupid, and every second that goes by that the president doesn’t address the nation only builds more skepticism toward whatever the official narrative is (which they currently can’t even get straight).
I wouldn’t say this situation is scary, but it’s exceptionally odd. It seems like every few hours, there’s a new unidentified flying object being picked up on air defense radar, and while the military is on its game, the administration is asleep at the wheel. That’s not a good thing.
Ack Ack!
ALIENS.....the Close Encounters variety? Or the Independence Day type?
Maybe if the media didn’t refer to balloons as UFOs.
balloons can come in many different shapes and sizes
if it were real UFO stuff, we wouldn’t even know about it.
but instead state media goes out of its way to tease and hint. so this gets things like Ohio environmental disaster and other unpleasant topics off the news.
how many people here know what is going on in East Palestine, Ohio? it is a huge incident and it is hard to find much of anything on it.
The reason for the secrecy is that the Biden pants pooper thinks the American people are a greater enemy than the Chinese.
RE: if it were real UFO stuff, we wouldn’t even know about it.
I gotta admit I never thought I’d see seemingly otherwise intelligent people seriously suggesting we’re being invaded by space aliens.
BUT THE BOTTOM LINE : What’s become clear in the public discussion is that we don’t really have adequate radar systems. We certainly don’t have an integrated missile defense system.
Could this be the primary reason the first downed ChiCom balloon carried high-tech equipment capable of collecting communications signals and other sensitive information?
Information, no doubt, that was sent back to China on a real-time basis, further exposing the inexplicable lack of reaction by woefully incompetent Joe Biden for at least a week before he finally succumbed to public pressure and shot down the first balloon only after it had traversed the entire U.S. mainland and headed out over the Atlantic Ocean.
The Republican House should push the issue of funding closing the gaps in the U.S. air defense infrastructure system, ASAP, to the max — and dare Senate Democrats and Joe Biden to oppose it.
Fake
Here’s the deal:
The ‘mothership’ concept is far from novel.
I can’t help but wonder if CCP - or the other country which immediately came to my mind last week - hasn’t been testing the mothership concept for intelligence gathering (of course, masquerading as ‘scientific research’).
I also can’t help but wonder if that balloon shot down off SC wasn’t a mothership and if this ‘object’ was its drone.
Certainly Louis Farrakhan believes in the ‘Mothership’ concept and has for a long, long time.
aside from the first balloon, it seems very likely that whatever they are shooting down every day was either launched by the US or china.
on the alien stuff, all reported contacts with military jets over the decades have indicated that we may well be unable to shoot one down, whatever it is they are seeing.
here we just have things floating along that quite nicely blow up or whatever.
and it dominates the news cycle for days.
Ohio, anyone?
That feller that attached balloons to his lawnchair better avoid that mode of transportation for a while.
Well if they shot down a VW bug it should be floating in Lake Huron.
"We're calling them objects, not balloons, for a reason," says U.S. Air Force General Glen VanHerck.
