I was going to post this under Catholic Caucus but I decided instead to open it up.
To summarize:
Pope Francis, aka Papa Pacha, gave an interview with AP on Tuesday, he said that certain bishops need to go through a process of conversion (whatever that means), that laws criminalizing homosexuality are "unjust", that it's all part of the "human condition", but nonetheless still a sin.
Francis could have said all of the above about suicide, but didn't, as these traditional bishops he went after are against it as well, it is a crime to commit suicide, a sin people have also committed as well (it is also part of the "human confition" that occurs and has also occured after the fall of man), and a mortal sin like homosexuality.
Why then didn't he call laws criminalizing suicide and/or assisted suicide, "unjust"?
Why?
Because of his agenda to try and slow-walk the church to the left and him going after other laws criminalizing other things likd this is too much of a leap for him and his allies right now.
Notice also how there's been hardly a peep from Francis against Fr James Martin's pro-LGBT agitating, or against certain German "Catholic" bishops who promote pretty much do whatever you want, women priests, etc? When does he tell them to go through a process of "conversion" Never.
Francis has positioned himself as the middle-of-the-road pope who is fighting against liberals on the left and traditionalists on the right, but he's as phony as "Middle class Joe [Biden]".
And not a peep either against Nancy Pelosi defying her bishop and going over to Rome to celebrate the Eucharist with Francis present and doing nothing to stop it. Plus he tells Trads to stop being "ideological" while he smiles as he receives ideological pro-abort politicians from Italy, Ireland, and the U.K., and participated in an ecumenical service with heretical pro-abort, pro-one sex marriage Lutherans in Sweden.
Francis loves his secular groupies and doesn’t want to offend them with the truth.....
This is sick ...
A mass exodus of traditionalists to the TLM and Eastern Catholicism and away from Novus Ordo, combined with many NO parishes becoming more and more openly liberal, should have woke most Catholics up but it hasn’t.
Many, but not most.
And don’t donate to Vatican Rice Bowl or Peter’s Pence unless you want to fund another “Rocketman” movie.
Give money directly to good priests or team up with others to fund your parish water, gas, electric bills, other money to help your local priest.
Bankrupt the bad “bishopricks”.
He is the tool of the antichrist, teaching the opposite of what the bible says.
Oh, yes; so is murder.
Did the pope also denounce McCarthy for kicking Schiff and saw well off the Intel committee?
He told most of the "students" were gay,,,,
You beat me to it. That was the first thought I had when I saw that title.
Jesus Christ himself needs to intervene and fix this, because I can’t imagine any human power alone being able to turn back this tide of post-modern, sexually deviant sewage
Yeah...mass murders are part of the human condition, too.
We supposed to accept that too?
Poor poor Catholics, to be led by this loon.
Proving once again that this pope does not believe GOD, or believes he is equal to GOD, declaring what GOD calls an abomination, something far less damning, thus aiding the damned in their plummet into Hell.
Has anybody tallied the number of homosexual pedophiles in Francis’ crime syndicate?
Admitting everyone is a sinner, is not accepting it or, much less, encouraging sin. Francis is a warped demon. Many organized religions, including the RCC, are apostasizing mightily right now at a fever pitch.
Part of the human condition? So is murder, rape and robbery. Does this dumbass communist pope accept those too?
You beat me to it. That was the first thought I had when I saw that title.
/\
Ditto.
He should just come out as the First Openly Gay Pope. I’m sure he would not be the first actual gay pope but all gay popes before never admitted it publicly that I know of.
And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. (Matthew 19:4-6)
And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man. (Mark 7:20-23)
And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life. (Revelation 21:27)
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. (Revelation 22:14-15)
God made man and women distinctively different yet uniquely compatible and complementary, and only joined them together in marriage - as again the Lord Jesus Himself specified, (Mt. 19:4–6) and Scripture only condemns homosexual relations wherever they are manifestly dealt with (extensive examination of prohomosexual polemics with refutations, by the grace of God). And which have been tragically primarily responsible for approx. 80% of new HIV cases among men and over 700,000 American deaths (although such is not even the decisive reason why homosexual relations are wrong). et there is still room at the cross for all who will come to God in repentance and faith, and trust in the Divine Son of God sent by the Father, the risen Lord Jesus, to save them on His account, by His sinless shed blood, and thus be baptized and live for Him. (Acts 10:36-47) Thanks be to God.
But opposing homosexual unions is somewhat problematic for a church that teaches required clerical celibacy as the norm, as well as other distinctive Catholic teachings that are not manifest in the only wholly inspired substantive authoritative record of what the NT church believed (which is Scripture, in particular Acts through Revelation, which best shows how the NT church understood the gospels)
Maybe in Medieval Europe, when the life expectancy was 25 years old, so priesthood was attractive for everyone. But the Catholic Church needs to recognize that and allow priests to get married today so predators will not hide behind the cassock.
