Putin Is Smiling: Is America Running Out Of Ammo To Send To Ukraine?

Ukraine is burning through ammunition for 155mm howitzers quickly and it is leaving the United States in a bind, according to a new report by think tank CSIS.

It could take up to five years for the industrial base to produce enough rounds to replenish American stocks.

It is not just cannon shells. Javelin and Stinger missiles could take six to eight years to normalize for the U.S. inventory.

Wow...and what if America has to fight a war? China should pounce now...

Since we have sent no US fighters, navy ships and long range missiles, I think you're worried over nothing. If we need to use Javelins against the Chinese, we have already lost.

Doesn’t work that way as the Russians have ADULTS running their military, not the Leftist Children that we’re stuck with. The Adults there do the math BEFORE committing resources, not after.

ROFLMAO.

‘Where did they disappear to?’: Russian MP says 1.5 mln military uniforms are missing
07:34 AM, 2 October 2022
Russia’s MP for Zabaykalsky region lieutenant general Andrey Gurulev has said that 1.5 million sets of military uniform had gone missing, reports local outlet Tayga.info.

“I still don’t understand where 1.5 million sets [of uniform], which had been kept at personnel reception points, ended up. Today, we have either problems with uniforms, or something else happens. All of these things were there, where did they disappear to? No one can explain this to me in any way at all anywhere!” he said.

According to Gurulev, personnel reception points need to be “equipped now for the future”, so they can “easily” accept people.

“We need to ask specific questions: where [did it go], where [is it now], and how did this happen that our drafted men are unable to receive a uniform, etc,” the lieutenant general concluded.

ON MOBILISATION

Putin calls Russia to arms

The first mobilization since 1941 was announced in Russia, but no one understands how it will work. We explain its main aspects

On 21 September, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on “partial mobilization” in Russia. In the text of the decree, the mobilization is called “partial”, however, no specifications (territorial, categorical) are established. “According to this text, anyone could be drafted, except for employees of defense enterprises that get an exemption for the period of their work,” political scientist Ekaterina Shulman noted at the time.

Soon after, countless reports of violations of the “partial mobilization” process started coming in. For example, head of the Agora human rights group Pavel Chikov reported that HIV-infected Russian citizens had received draft notices despite a governmental website previously saying that they were not subject to mobilisation.

The Motor Vessel Leroy A. Mendonca delivered more than 1,200 vehicles and pieces of equipment, including M1 Abrams main battle tanks, Bradley infantry fighting vehicles and a range of wheeled vehicles belonging to the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Calvary Division deployed to Europe, this week at the port in Vlissingen, Netherlands. The 2nd ABCT, stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, replaces the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, as part of a regular rotation of forces to support the United States’ commitment to Atlantic Resolve. Additional equipment is scheduled to arrive during the coming weeks at ports in Aarhus, Denmark and Riga, Latvia for onward movement to Eastern Europe.

“We appreciate the Netherlands’ strong dedication to enhancing military mobility,” said 21st Theater Sustainment Command Commanding General Maj. Gen. James Smith. “A strong NATO ally with excellent port facilities and infrastructure, today’s operation once again demonstrates our ability, with host nation support, to rapidly deploy equipment and personnel into and across the European continent.”

I believe the army should still have about 200,000 M26 rockets left.

Everybody ignores US innovation. Boeing has a proposal to use the common m26 rocket motor attached to an abundant GBU-39 bomb which would result in a cheaper smart missile than the HIMARS with an extended range of 100 miles.

Developed by Boeing in partnership with Saab of Sweden, each GLSDB round is a combination of two existing systems, the air-launched 250-pound GBU-39/B SDB with its pop-out wing set and the rocket motor from the 227mm-caliber M26 artillery rocket. The M26 is among the rocket types that can be fired from M270 Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS), and variants thereof, and the M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS). HIMARS is famously already in use with Ukraine, as are its tracked stablemate that fires the same ammunition, the M270 MLRS.

Propelled by the M26 rocket motor for the initial boost/loft phase, the GLSDB's wings are then deployed and it flies unpowered, as a glide bomb. It uses the GBU-39/B’s existing inertial navigation system and embedded GPS to guide it to its target. That guidance system not only ensures accuracy to within 3 feet, according to Saab, but is also resilient to electronic warfare jamming, something that is of particular concern in the Ukrainian conflict.

“the Russians have ADULTS running their military”

That’s why last February the Russians easily and quickly conquered Ukraine and Moldova. It took about a week, just as it was planned by the adults in the Kremlin.

This is another proof that it was good Trump put a pause on destroying these M26s (at over $1000 cost to destroy a piece).

With a little innovation this liability turns into a valuable asset.

When were they ordered to ‘conquer’ Ukraine?

Actually this article is about the UNITED STATES, so not sure about the need to attempt to deflect to Russia.

‘People seem to forget that rush is the #2 to arms exporter in the world and they can make a lot of military hardware quickly.

just keeping up with the war in Ukraine and what the Russians have been doing, gives me the suspicion that they are using up their old “left over” military hardware, while continuing to manufacture more up to date hardware and software. We are not.

China and Ukraine got their money's worth when they bought Hunter and the Big Guy.

If all of us got together and bought millions of dollars worth of Hunter's "art" do you think we could convince Biden to favor us - the American people?

I say Russia here, too, because China has esigns on large sections of Siberia for farmland just as they covet North American farmland.
