Yes, the CIA Was Involved

Now it’s Prime Time

Openly stating the CIA was involved in the assassination of President Kennedy is now mainstream news. Tucker Carlson summarized the U.S. government’s official position on the assassination of John F. Kennedy as a “lone gunman murders the president of the United States, and then less than 48 hours later, that lone gunman is himself murdered by another lone gunman”.

That’s quite a coincidence.

(video Tucker Carlson)

Tucker reported on prime-time TV news a response to the question of CIA involvement from an undisclosed source knowledgeable of the records remaining classified today. The source reportedly replied, “The answer is yes. I believe they were involved”.

The CIA’s track record does not help the CIA’s case of not being involved in murdering a president. Of course, the CIA would kill other people’s presidents—they have tried, according to the CIA. The question is only if the CIA would kill a U.S. president. Or maybe the question is only if they would kill a U.S. president today.

Assassination and Official Story

President Kennedy was murdered on November 22, 1963, at 12:30 pm in Dallas, TX, while riding in an open-top car in a motorcade. Dallas Police Officer J.D. Tippet was shot and killed 45 minutes later. Former U.S. Marine Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested 70 minutes after the President was killed, then charged with the murder of both Kennedy and Tippit. Two days later, at 11:21 am on November 24, in the basement of the Dallas Police Headquarters, Oswald was shot and killed by nightclub owner Jack Ruby. After the investigation, the Warren Commission reported that both Oswald and Ruby had acted entirely alone and “found no evidence of conspiracy, subversion, or disloyalty to the U.S. Government by any Federal, State, or local official.”

My Summary

The government says that an insane lone gunman, a U.S. Marine marksman unconnected with anyone privately or with any foreign or domestic government, shot and killed the president. The president was being driven in an open-top convertible directly past the building the insane lone gunman worked at, while the gunman was in a perfect sniper spot high up in the building, and no one else was on his floor. With a bolt action rifle from 266 feet, the insane lone gunman fired three shots in about six seconds, two of which hit the president’s neck and head in the moving car. 45 minutes later, the insane lone gunman was walking down a residential street, approached, talked to, and then killed a local cop/Army veteran. Killing the cop while in hiding led to the government quickly finding the insane lone gunman, so that one hour after shooting the president from a hidden position, the government had the insane lone gunman in custody. Two days later, a crazy lone gunman, unconnected with anybody privately or in any government, foreign or domestic, shot and killed the insane lone gunman while inside the basement of the Dallas Police Headquarters. Both the president and his killer were pronounced dead in the same hospital.

imo, this book was foundational for me in understanding the kennedy assassination:

Plausible Denial: Was the CIA Involved in the Assassination of JFK? Hardcover – by Mark Lane; December 1, 1991

Review From Publishers Weekly:

Lane, the lawyer whose Rush to Judgment was the first in a flood of books calling into question the Warren Commission Report on the JFK assassination, has come up with a highly unusual angle this time. He tells, in enormous but only occasionally tedious detail, the story of a little-publicized 1985 trial in which he figured and which ended in a Florida jury endorsing the notion that the CIA was involved in Kennedy’s killing. The case arose out of a libel suit brought by CIA officer E. Howard Hunt against Liberty Lobby and its magazine Spotlight for an article claiming he was in Dallas at the time of the assassination and played a role in it on behalf of the CIA. Representing Liberty Lobby, Lane called as witnesses an impressive roster of Agency figures, including Richard Helms, Stansfield Turner, Gordon Liddy and, of course, Hunt himself. Hunt’s alibi, that he was in Washington on Nov. 22, 1963, could not be adequately supported, and an important witness, CIA operative Marita Lorenz, placed Hunt in Dallas, along with agent Frank Sturgis and a carload of guns, the day before the assassination. Lane’s arguments convinced the jury. He justly excoriates the press for never having sufficiently followed his leads—and ends with an epilogue suggesting that President Bush was also associated with the CIA at that time, long before he became director. A highly stimulating, disturbing book, marred only by repetitiousness and excessive self-justification. Photos not seen by PW.

I remember the Sunday after the assassination. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch had 30 pages on Lee Harvey Oswald.

Only way they could get that much information in two days is from the “intelligence community.’

Ya, the gov’t continues to hide transcripts 60 years later because there are “sources and methods” or 90 year old individuals that still need protecting.....

Couldn’t prove you wrong, even if I wanted to (which I don’t).

Since virtually all the information regarding the assassination is from the government, we know it can’t be relied on. Much of the third-party testimony and evidence (like the Zabruder film and eye witnesses on the “grassy knoll” and the streets) has been at odds with “official” reports.

Unless there was a plan and that plan has written documentation that is uncovered, we’ll have likely never know what happened . . .

The CIA has thousands more assassination-related classified documents it still refuses to release 59 years later after everyone involved is dead and 30 years after a Congressional mandate to release everything.

This reeks like a 3 day old homicide scene.

EL beejay, hated him with a purple passion. He won the Presidency, which proved too large for him, and all of the scandals that may have had him in jail but definitely out of power as VP disappeared. All it takes is one guy in a position of power to inspire others. Like “I was never in Dallas” Bush “of the CIA”.

Does anyone really believe the CIA and the FBI were born with pure intentions? They were filled with Russian haters from the start, and the number one requirement for the FBI is to be educated as a lawyer. LAWYERS fill the ranks of intelligence and DOJ.

I think I see the problem.

Anybody who believes anything they say is brain-dead.

Oswald was a rising young communist of use to Moscow.

Oswald was likely the attempted assassin of Gen. Edwin Walker in April 1963.

That both the CIA and FBI were aware of Oswald, kept an eye on him and had contact with him should come as no surprise.

Every explanation I’ve seen about the JFK assassination is filled with holes.

Probably because every explanation you've encountered has attempted to conceal the fact that Oswald was a committed communist with high level contacts in Moscow and Havana.

My dads take years ago was a combination of groups were involved. Primarily the Texas oil conglomerates, the mob and the CIA. All three had bones to pick . The CIA was pissed about the bay of pigs and their operations being denied but Kennedy’s wiz kids, the mob because of JFK and RFK eating into the operations, and the Texas oil groups because JFK’s denial of oil leases in the Gulf of Mexico. JFK was in Texas to discuss this with the oil companies to hash out new leases and rules for the gulf. The CIA knew the itinerary and routing of JFK and had the patsy for the mission, the oil bosses helped pay the mob hit and to get JFK out of Washington, and the Mob had the experienced shooters and to take care of the patsy.
Yep, it does not take a lot of people to make this happen and you can say this is crazy as the next conspiracy theory. But a small cell of CIA could set it up ( think jedberg team will full access to info) a pissed off oil exec, and the mob willing to off A president for a grudge and a price. The cia could of used their own shooters but that would expand the players that could have second thoughts.
BTW my dad was in government intel at the time and did some quite digging.
So why? The CIA gets the crappy boss of their back and payback for the loss of Cuba, the mob gets revenge and RFK of their backs, and the oil bosses get LBJ as President who is tied directly to the oil companies through his wife’s company and would make money from supporting the oil companies and would open the gulf back up.
Some of the intel community believed LBJ was a part of this due to his close ties to Texas oil and the loss of the family revenue and had full access to most of this info.
Remember, smart people don’t write down this type of stuff so why would the archives have any knowledge of this and the prime shooter/patsy is dead, the killer of the pasty was going to die anyway (cancer?) so his fam was taken care of. So any open witness is gone, and the rest is evidence has no direct links to the wetworkers.

That’s over three years after JFK was killed. I wouldn’t call that a “matter of weeks”.

Well, it's about 150 weeks.

Oliver Stone made a movie proving that 30 years ago.

Yes, fiction writing for a work of fiction always "proves" things...

The natural followup question from Tucker should have been how, but I guess Tucker could only ask him one question.

Two people riding in the car with JFK, both blood drenched, his wife and the governor of Texas, stated that they did not believe the Warren Commission report. The Congress of the United States came to the same conclusion. Robert Kennedy, JFK’s brother, did not believe the conclusion of the Warren Commission.

The doctors on call at the hospital where Kennedy was driven to did not, and wrote books explaining why.

Now if you have final evidence that the Warren Commission was accurate, you should step forth and let the world know it.

Totally ignores Oswald's history and loyalties. Yeah, if you are going to drive through that area you will have to drive through that area - so that must be a conspiracy?

Breathtaking stupidity.

What motivation would the CIA have to bump off a U.S. president as corrupt and mediocre as JFK.

LBJ needed to be the big guy so his in-laws would make bank doing logistics for the Vietnam war

Kennedy knew CIA were bad and needed to be dismantled

Kennedy called for the federal reserve to be audited

or perhaps it was simply ritual initiation to give Bush street creds

pay your nickel take your choice
