Yes. Exactly this. Yes. It’s not that DHS had a portal into Twitter, it’s that DHS took over the operation of Twitter and controlled every element of it. If this is true, then why do they let TikTok do basically the same thing for China... perhaps even worse than Twitter ever did
One need only look at governments world-wide in the last decade, particularly after the “Arab Spring.”
They all realized that social-media was a political weapon, as important as owning the Radio and TV stations was in the last century. Any with the ability created their own national champions, and strict control over them.
Anything is possible.

My understanding of Tik Tok is that it’s girls that are sluts, or future sluts, dancing, singing and showing off cleavage and yoga pant ass.
Twitter is more of a political dumpster fire.
If true, why did they let Musk buy it? Did they glean info from it, probably. But if they ran it, I’m sure it would still be in hands, I’m guessing FB does the same thing. People put their whole lives on FB. If I was a government agency wanting to spy on my citizen and I thought they were stupid enough to play along, I’d start a FB like site and say come on down.
Facebook was created by the government (DARPA - Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) and then turned over to Zuckerburg. Why a defense agency. He’d like you to think he was the genius behind it, but he’s just a spokesman / deep state idiot. It is an intelligence gathering tool just like Tucker surmised about Twitter.

Looking at some of the users, not a lot of intelligence found. But, others and their connections could be a treasure trove of info. Maybe the worst thing is that so many folks put so much stock in anything that gets tweeted out. It’s like “if it’s on twitter it’s as believable as everything found on the inter-web!”. It must be true if lebrawn james tweeted it or kim kardouchian or branDUHn or carmela ‘fweedumb’ hawiss............ Grain of salt people, grain of salt.... 😵💫🤡🐂💩
“Could it be”? As if he hasn’t known for years that that’s exactly what Twitter, Facebook, Google, etc., all are.
Musk is actually the person who will destroy the members of the swamp.
Where several people and organizations have nibbled around the edges, his access to communications between the many members of the swamp will be the death knell of them all.
There is nothing as convincing as a criminal’s self incrimination.
And the swamp critters are well aware of the danger they face.
I hope Musk has a security force that is truly capable and trustworthy. It will be tested.
I don’t know jack about TikTok except what I’ve heard. The problem with them is how much data they are gathering on people. If it’s only ‘sluts in yoga pants’, then I suppose that means it’s not much of a security risk.
All I am wondering is what it bodes for our future when Twitter has their powers turned inward against us, but TikTok is turned outward against us (not that it’s definitely not also turned inward against Chinese people though).
We are too damned busy going after ourselves to defend our ourselves from foreign state actors and their fronts and cohorts. Sad.
If true I suspect the Feds would have blocked the sale to Musk.
To be fair, that’s what I have been told. I don’t really know what is on Tik Tok.
I have zero social media except LinkedIn, and I have zero posts there.
Social media is garbage and ruins people’s minds.
