My wife and I are 68. I’ve discussed spending with a lot of my “elderly” friends. And one thing that is constantly mentioned is how little stuff we boomers buy. We just don’t need all the trappings like we did when we were younger.

Even food. We raise our own chickens and don’t eat as “high” as we did when we were young. It’s not that important any more.

It’s those spending lots of money on “stuff” that fuel inflation. And it ain’t the boomers.

Feeling kind of dumb -- older people who have decided not to be in the work force: HOW does that cause inflation? The money supply increases because ... they aren't earning a paycheck? What??

Is there any -- any -- thought process that really allows someone to think Baby Boomers are causing Biden's inflation?

I’ve worked hard most of my life starting as just a kid stocking shelves in a supermarket.
I’m DONE working. All they’ve ever done since my first day of work is steal money from me via of legalized theft called “taxes”. I’m finished with that . They can go pound sand.

Boomers.

Is there anything they are NOT blamed for?

Government and the Federal Reserve will blame anyone except themselves.

Every time I go to a grocery store, these days, I buy less. Too expensive

If they are talking specifically about the boomers in the White House, Federal Reserve, and Congress, then I’d say they are spot on.

My wife stopped by Q'Dobas and picked us up a couple of burritos as a treat. We get carry out from there a few times a year. Their prices have doubled. $12 per burrito.

We're boomers. That's why we don't spend much. $12 per burrito? Next time I spend that for a burrito it had better be in pesos.

Fortune complained about “fewer older Americans handing over your fast food order or working part-time at the local grocery store”

Those are jobs for teenagers or people who failed to graduate high school. The last thing we need is more Boomers who refuse to retire and make way for the next generation.

We needed to add another term to the “guilt-trippers” lexicon:

Boomer Privilege: The hubris older persons experience when, after a full lifetime of work and retirement plan contributions, they actually retire AND actually expect to stop working.

The nerve of some people!

Many of them aren’t interested in working until they die in order to support the half the country on welfare who don’t work at all.

As a boomer, I remember very distinctly almost every one of my friends in High School working part time jobs at grocery stores, fast food, retail back in the 1970’s.

Now when I go to these places I see a few teens working, but also many older folks. Plus and lots and lots of seniors.

Also we worked on construction crews during college summers. Hard, physical (sometimes dangerous) work in the heat of summer. I literally NEVER see young middle class people working these jobs these days, as they are ALL filled by hispanics.

What a warped article. Working seniors prevents inflation? Just how does that work?

There are plenty of beaners and welfare kings and queens. Put their sorry asses to work. No work, no eat, no house.
