Covid Escaped From Lab As Part of U.S. Military Intel Operation, Says Former Senior Scientist For U.S. Government Contractor, EcoHealth

Ph.D. scientist, veteran, and scientist Andrew Huff publishes his accusations in a major new Simon & Schuster book that comes out on Tuesday, December 6.

Rumors have flown for years that the SARS-COV-2 coronavirus was man-made and emerged from the Wuhan Institute for Virology’s (WIV) laboratory in Wuhan, China.

Now, a top scientist who had top secret security clearance with the U.S. government claims that not only was the virus man-made, that it was the result of a U.S. military intelligence effort to spy on China’s bioweapons program.

“Why on earth would the Chinese ever allow us into that laboratory?” asked Dr. Andrew Huff, author of the forthcoming book, The Truth About Wuhan. “If they're doing bioweapons development, they have their own program going. They do not need our money. What they do need is our advanced biotechnology. And they need our training. And when I look at this, at the end of the day, this looks like an exchange of biotechnology for access to their laboratory.”

The official position of the US and Chinese governments is that the virus emerged from the wild. And, indeed, much of what Huff is claiming sounds like a conspiracy theory. “It either came out of a U.S. laboratory, or it came out of the Wuhan Institute of Virology,” he said.

But the notion that coronavirus was made in a lab has gained significant mainstream support over the last year and even the head of the World Health Organization reportedly told European officials in June that he believes Covid leaked from a "catastrophic accident" in a laboratory. And in May, the Biden administration acknowledged that the virus may have come from a lab.

Huff has a credible story that checks out and Simon and Schuster, a mainstream publisher, is publishing his book. Huff served from 2003-2006 in combat operations in Iraq. He went on to earn a BA in psychology, an MS in geographic information systems and systems technologies, and a Ph.D in environmental health science with a focus on emerging infectious diseases at the University of Minnesota. Huff did his post-graduate work at MIT in complex systems modeling and analysis, at the Department of Homeland Security Center of Excellence, and at Sandia National Laboratories, before becoming a senior executive at EcoHealth Alliance

Huff says he became alarmed when he read an EcoHealth Alliance proposal. “This is the ‘Understanding Bat Coronavirus Risk’ proposal. I'm asked to review this thing. I comment to [EcoHealth founder] Peter Daszak, ‘We don't have a biological security, or safety officer. We don't have an institutional biosafety committee….What about these things?’ [Said Daszak], ‘Eh, don't worry about that. We've got that taken care of.’”

But Huff’s story gets even more bizarre. He says that after he started speaking out publicly in 2020, his home was burglarized, and he was harassed, both in person, and with drones.

The virus is clearly engineered for human to human transmission. This is INDISPUTABLE.

It does not transmit from animal to animal as well as it transmits from human to human.

The Wuhan Lab had a horrible safety track record.

Eco Health Alliance was funded by Fauci to engineer exactly this type of virus.

We will never know for sure if it was a leak or intentionally released to hurt Trump.

The Chinese knew in late 2019 and stopped travel from Wuhan to Beijing, while allowing travel from Wuhan to the rest of the world, especially Italy.

This project will examine the risk of future coronavirus (CoV) emergence from wildlife using in-depth field investigations across the human-wildlife interface in China, molecular characterization of novel CoVs and host receptor binding domain genes, mathematical models of transmission and evolution, and in vitro and in vivo laboratory studies of host range. Zoonotic CoVs are a significant threat to global health, as demonstrated with the emergence of pandemic severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV) in China in 2002, and the recent and ongoing emergence of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV). Bats appear to be the natural reservoir of these viruses, and hundreds of novel bat-CoVs have been discovered in the last two decades. Bats, and other wildlife species, are hunted, traded, butchered and consumed across Asia, creating a large scale human-wildlife interface, and high risk of future emergence of novel CoVs. This project aims to understand what factors increase the risk of the next CoV emerging in people by studying CoV diversity in a critical zoonotic reservoir (bats), at sites of high risk for emergence (wildlife markets) in an emerging disease hotspot (China). The three specific aims of this project are to: 1. Assess CoV spillover potential at high risk human-wildlife interfaces in China. This will include quantifying he nature and frequency of contact people have with bats and other wildlife;serological and molecular screening of people working in wet markets and highly exposed to wildlife;screening wild-caught and market sampled bats from 30+ species for CoVs using molecular assays;and genomic characterization and isolation of novel CoVs. 2. Develop predictive models of bat CoV emergence risk and host range. A combined modeling approach will include phylogenetic analyses of host receptors and novel CoV genes (including functional receptor binding domains);a fused ecological and evolutionary model to predict host-range and viral sharing;and mathematical matrix models to examine evolutionary and transmission dynamics. 3. Test predictions of CoV inter-species transmission. Predictive models of host range (i.e. emergence potential) will be tested experimentally using reverse genetics, pseudovirus and receptor binding assays, and virus infection experiments across a range of cell cultures from different species and humanized mice.

Public Health Relevance

Most emerging human viruses come from wildlife, and these represent a significant threat to global public health and biosecurity - as demonstrated by the SARS coronavirus pandemic of 2002-03 and an ongoing SARS-like epidemic in the Middle East. This project seeks to understand what factors allow animal Coronaviruses to evolve and jump into the human population by studying virus diversity in a critical group of animals (bats), a sites of high risk for emergence (wildlife markets) in an emerging disease hotspot (China).

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is defined as illness caused by a novel coronavirus called severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2; formerly called 2019-nCoV), which was first identified amid an outbreak of respiratory illness cases in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China. [1] It was initially reported to the WHO on December 31, 2019. On January 30, 2020, the WHO declared the COVID-19 outbreak a global health emergency. [2, 3] On March 11, 2020, the WHO declared COVID-19 a global pandemic, its first such designation since declaring H1N1 influenza a pandemic in 2009. [4]
Illness caused by SARS-CoV-2 was termed COVID-19 by the WHO, the acronym derived from “coronavirus disease 2019.” The name was chosen to avoid stigmatizing the virus’s origins in terms of populations, geography, or animal associations. [5, 6] On February 11, 2020, the Coronavirus Study Group of the International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses issued a statement announcing an official designation for the novel virus: severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). [7]

City of Barcelona, Spain has a waste water lab, and collect specimens daily from the incoming waste. Back in 2020, for some reason, they assigned the team to look back to determine the first entry of Covid into the water system. They probably assumed early 2020.

The team went past 2020, and got into early 2019...to find in March of 2019, they had a entry of Covid in the water system.

Now, I would not have paid much attention to this, except I was there in Barcelona in March of 2019 (1 week trip). Lot of Chinese tourists around...I’d be guessing more than 2,000 per day.

After this announcement of the date...city authorities shut down discussion of the lab finding, and no one openly talks about since then. It was out there already in 2019, and it’d make me ask if possibly something occurred in late 2018 for it to exit the lab.
