Don’t kid yourself, ol’ Poppy pulled it down quickly.

She was born Miss Perfect, Christine Anne Perfect before marrying bassist John McVie. Interesting AND amusing. You’re a wealth of information, and one of my favorite posters, thanks for being here.

It's my pleasure. Obviously, John McVie corrupted her and after marrying him, she ceased being Perfect. ;)

“Fortunately Chris said yes and beautiful music was made.”
Yup!
I liked Fleetwood Mac before Buckingham/Nicks joined the group. But the music took on a whole different aspect once they joined.

As I said in an earlier post I saw them I saw live in late, 1975.
I also saw them almost 20 years later at the Poplar Creek amphitheater. It was only the pre-Buckingham/Nicks trio of John McVie, Christine McVie, and Mick Fleetwood from the original group, with Dave Mason (instead of Lindsay Buckingham) and Bonnie Bramlett’s daughter Bekka Bramlett replacing Stevie Nicks. It was pretty good, but nothing like the band of 1975 - 1980.

Thanks! I’ll have to check out that Spirit Jam. The 12 dreams of Dr Sardonicus was one of those early favorites.

Here you
go.
Bob Welch (with beard) next to Jeff Baxter, behind lead Jay Ferguson. There is an extended eight-minute version of this video out there, but couldn't find it at the moment.

Peter Green was untouchable as a guitarist. Very smooth... Right up there with the likes of Clapton and Duane Allman... Alvin Lee.

I was never a fan of Fleetwood Mac except for “Come A Little Bit Closer”...which Christine wrote and sang lead. And in her day she was a fine looking woman.

It’s funny... I didn’t know ‘Black Magic Woman’ was Green’s until much later. I love both versions.

I saw Christine McVie at the Sunrise Musical Theatre in 1985. She was fantastic. RIP, Ms. McVie.

Alvin Lee. It’s odd his name rarely comes up when people talk about the great guitarists. I consider him the equal to Clapton. His playing always had ‘little surprises’ that popped out at you.. just when you were wondering ‘how did he do that?’ ...he’d slide something else in to make the point... He suffered from very few ‘hits’... Amazing instincts.
