Fleetwood Mac's Christine McVie has died aged 79, her family has said in a statement.
On Facebook, they said: "On behalf of Christine McVie's family, it is with a heavy heart we are informing you of Christine's death.
"She passed away peacefully at hospital this morning, Wednesday, November 30th 2022, following a short illness.
"She was in the company of her family.
"We kindly ask that you respect the family's privacy at this extremely painful time and we would like everyone to keep Christine in their hearts and remember the life of an incredible human being, and revered musician who was loved universally. RIP Christine McVie."

Every time I hear Fleetwood Mac I am reminded of the DNC/Clinton convention in 1992. As far as I am concerned, America’s downward trajectory accelerated after that event.

They were so totally different, that I don’t think a comparison can be made. The hard throatiness of Nicks and the sweet softness of McVie are two entirely different styles.
I enjoyed listening to both of them.

I don’t know about that. She cheated on her bandmate husband, and the wrote songs about it. That’s pretty messed up.

This was a big surprise as I have been listening to a lot of Fleetwood Mac lately. Always one of my favorite all time bands. Had no idea she was this old, though she has been with the band almost since the very beginning (well before Stevie and Lindsey joined).
Her maiden name was Perfect, sort of like her voice.
