Ron DeSantis And Gavin Newsom: What Will They Do In 2024?
19FortyFive ^ | 11/27/2022 | W. James Antle

Now all eyes are on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. He is also coming off a big reelection win in a state that has become a symbol of his party’s governance nationwide. He and Newsom were putting themselves in position to run for president while respecting the frontrunner status of former President Donald Trump and Biden, respectively.

Though weakened by the midterms, Trump has already announced he is running for president again in 2024. Biden was strengthened by them, and while a final decision is still forthcoming, he appears to be leaning heavily in favor of seeking a second term.

Where else are you going to go?

The only way Donald Trump will ever set foot in the White House again is if another Republican president invites him over for a visit.

Sane? Trump policies are just common sense Amrerica First

Trump's record is great:

Which POTUS was as successful as Trump? Look at what Trump accomplished:

  1. Gas price per gallon was about $2.30;
  2. Inflation about 1.4%, mortgage rates were half of what they are now;
  3. Unemployment was low before Covid and before Blue Governors shut everything down and we were in the midst of a V-shape recovery until January 22, 2021;
  4. Tax decrease; tax laws promoted small businesses as well as large;
  5. US enjoyed energy independence - No Green Agenda, no war on energy, No Paris Treaty;
  6. No war in Ukraine, no threat of nuclear war, NATO paid its way;
  7. China was quiet and we were winning the trade war;
  8. US companies were bringing home the jobs due to well executed tax treatments;
  9. Peace in the Middle East aka Abraham Accords; US Embassy moved to Jerusalem; and Iran was isolated.
  10. Got three non-left “I don't know what a woman is” Supreme Court Justices on the bench allowing Roe vs Wade to be overturned.

Who the heck can accomplish the above in four years while being impeached twice and investigated by Obama's Weaponized Agencies?

The big difference back then was we all thought the GOP was on our side.

We now know very little of it is. Hence Trump’s popularity.

I'll continue to support candidates who I believe have a shot at winning up until the moment that Donald Trump secures the nomination.

And then I'll do exactly what I did in 2020. Vote for the guy who loses the election. Of course, I'll probably have to hear how "We wuz robbed!" and Trump is again owed the nomination in '28 to enact his revenge.

I'm not going to let who others choose to support affect my decisions. There is far too much drawing of bright lines "you're either on Side A or Side B" that simply ignores how people think and act in the real world.

I like DeSantis, and just because some other people I don't like also support him over Trump doesn't impact my decision-making one iota.

To say that midterms hurt DJTrump displays this author as a tool for Demos. >90% of DJT’s endorsements got elected. How the ‘Ell does that hurt?

Only in the minds of CNN addicts does this add up.

As to 2024: DeSantis/Trump, Rebuild America.
Yes, DJT as Veep. He will have a ball telling the WEF where to stuff their commie trash lies.

Nope. I will stay here and fight the good fight supporting electable conservative candidates and doing my part to convince others the unpleasant truth that Trump in '24 is a loser's bet.

Amazed at the number of posters who seem genuinely afraid of a Republican primary season.

It’s going to happen. And every person in the race will need to answer for their views, polices and actions. As it should be.

And may the best person win.

Democrats won’t bother to campaign early or much at all any time. The elections are fixed for them. They can use Biden or anyone they want and it won’t make a difference.

The stupid party will campaign like they are actually in a contest. They should really knock it off because the outcome will be written before the first campaign stop.

Explain to the audience how your posts would be any different than Liz Cheney’s if she posted here?

I think it is possible to overcome the “margin of fraud”. If Trump tops 80 million in the popular vote then I gotta think he wins.

Easy. Liz Cheney wouldn't be supporting Ron DeSantis as she's said so herself.
