Now, here’s a surprise.
One week after the midterms, The Washington Post quietly reported that, well, remember those classified documents former President Donald Trump allegedly took to his home in the Mar-a-Lago Club, the ones that prompted the FBI to raid his home? Yeah, he wasn’t doing anything “nefarious” with them.
No nuke-selling to the Saudis, apparently! How about that? Huh. Well, carry on, WaPo readers! Thanks for voting Democrat!
In the Monday report, the Post noted that investigators “believe former president Donald Trump’s motive for allegedly taking and keeping classified documents was largely his ego and a desire to hold on to the materials as trophies or mementos.”
“As part of the investigation, federal authorities reviewed the classified documents that were recovered from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home and private club, looking to see if the types of information contained in them pointed to any kind of pattern or similarities, according to these people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing investigation.
“That review has not found any apparent business advantage to the types of classified information in Trump’s possession, these people said. FBI interviews with witnesses so far, they said, also do not point to any nefarious effort by Trump to leverage, sell or use the government secrets,” the piece continued.
“Instead, the former president seemed motivated by a more basic desire not to give up what he believed was his property, these people said.”

Makes you wonder…
agree ... it happened right before #2. Linda Graham abortion talk
Laptop from hell redux.
None of the editors at the Washington Post would be able to survive the kind of scrutiny Trump's been put through the last 7 years.
That’s it in a nutshell
It probably doesn't matter.
According to the search warrant they're using the Espionage Act which doesn't rely on the documents being classified.
I don’t understand why judges don’t call them back in, issue a fine or more
for perjury.
“Instead, the former president seemed motivated by a more basic desire not to give up what he believed was his property, these people said.”
Thank you.
Now the Biden clan OTOH......
It’s all a big con game to them.....................
Evidently…
Trump driven by ego? No way! Trump has to be the least egotistical, self centered, politician ever.
I’m sure every POS TV media will retract their indictment count down.
Last July 4th much to my dismay at my wife’s sisters place. She and her hubby are TDS contest winners. Anyway every time my BIL said trump will be indicted soon I simply replied name the charge and the evidence. By the end of day he was livid because for each charge he made I said cite the evidence not your opinion. He would rant and I would I voted for him twice. When he runs again I intend to vote for him again. Drove him made.
He’ll take it.
And he’ll like it.
Yes.
Can’t argue with that.
/\/\/\ He’s right, you know.
The right hand pages would have to be fold-outs.
“1. Mar-A-Lago raid
2. Linda Graham abortion talk
3. Proposed student loan forgiveness
4. Rick Scott social security talk
5. ballot mass-mailings and harvesting.”
Actual exit polls, good ones, show that only #2 affected dem voter’s attitudes—drove them to vote. The data is clear.
But #5 was the biggest factor, of course. And it didn’t require any dem motivation. It required lots of cash, and an organized machine already in place, with the bugs worked out from previous elections.
And many prominent conservatives have been screaming about it for years. But the Old Guard Rs in charge, ignored it in favor of in-person voting, election day.
And in-person was durned good, but nowhere near enough to negate the pre-election harvesting. They killed us there, plain and simple. Around 6-8 points most places. 10 some places.
(But not in FL. We changed the laws. And Desantis pushed for, and got, a new Elections Police office, with good budget. Would still love it same day only, paper ballots, but that’s for next time)
Lindsey did it on purpose.
Bingo!
