Why Republicans win wasn't so huge -- total vanity
My opinion

Posted on 11/13/2022 10:57:31 AM PST by Ge0ffrey

Democrats took a page right out of the Newt Gingrich playbook. They nationalized the midterms, and made it about abortion and losing democracy. Secondary reasons, ballot harvesting and extreme lack of funds in significant races.

As a Floridian I say you don’t know Florida.

Didnt happen in Florida cause cheating aint allowed there. After the dim-0 whinefest of 2000, Florida passed a slew of new laws and rules making cheating a far too risky enterprise.

We registered and voted. No whining in Florida.

In 2000 Florida was a toss uo.

In 2018 Florida was a toss up.

In 2022 Florida is 20 points red.

Focus on what happened 2018 to 2022.

… and 57% of US households paid no federal income taxes in 2021.

That’s too many folks riding in the wagon.

Not supported in details or exit data.

For example, pro-life areas of Pennsylvania went for Fetterman Massacre, the Human Ox, while pro-choice areas went for Oz. NY flipped its state House red. Some show abortion as about a 4% advantage, but I maintain this polling is seriously incomplete.

I haven’t been able to convince Richard Baris to include a “vax” question. I am convinced that in MI, PA, NY, and even WI to an extent, a question such as “Do you think the government’s job is to keep you safe from such things as pandemics?” vs “Do you think government’s job is to ensure you freedom and follow the Constitution?” you’d find that the BLUE states that elected govs (WI, MI, PA, NY) plus OH which reelected DeWeenie (a lockdown fanatic) were all good with lockdowns. But in the more liberty leaning Sun Belt, FL, GA, TX, NV, and probably now with Lake, AZ rebelled against the lockdowns. None of this was mentioned in the exit polling.

Kemp won a huge primary victory largely because he lifted the GA lockdowns before anyone but Noem.

Meanwhile, another Trump impeachment congressman got the boot.

It’s about the ballots vs. votes strategy which has now DEFINED the last two elections.

There’s much to be said for the idea that the Republicans focused on strategy (big themes) while the Democrats focused on tactics (getting the necessary amount of votes in the ballot boxes). Same thing with the idea that the Democrats had a focus, and Republicans just thought victory would land in their laps.

I think both parties now try to “nationalize” the congressional campaigns (and also appeal to people’s idea that their own incumbents are good and useful people). Say what you will about Gingrich’s Contract with America, the Democrats’ narrow focus on abortion and Trump/”democracy” isn’t any kind of positive vision for the country’s future.

The bush league chamber of commerce worshipping republiCAN’Ts were more concerned with killing off MAGA than winning elections.
THAT’S why....

If professional athletes on Team A repeatedly passed the ball to Team B or scored goals for Team B, they would be fired. If there was betting or other finances involved, they could be indicted. There is a huge amount of money involved in being a member of Congress. Most are so compromised. It is discouraging.

Florida cut off the avenues for election fraud in time for 2022, concentrating on the blue cesspoools/vote resevoirs of Broward County and Miami/Dade.

Masters-Kelly race, 11/9 ~8pm had 1,787,000 votes w/ 74% reported in. Implied *2,447,000* total ballots (1,787,000/0.74)

Now 2,204,300 votes, 84% reported. Implies *2,624,200* total ballots

They "found" +177,000 ballots last 2 days? Why is the implied vote total always in flux? pic.twitter.com/qV1yQFrJtt— Yung Sp€ngler (@SnorlaxFan26) November 13, 2022

Our side did nothing different in light of early voting and vote-by-mail.

Oh yes they did.

They spent two critical years slandering their base of being “election deniers”, “January 6ers” and “domestic terrorists” because the base felt there were massive irregularities in the 2020 election.

Despite the fact that there were obvious and provable irregularities in 2020.

Republicans across the nation should have doubled down on securing the election system and preventing illegal ballot harvesting, but instead they lied about 2020 election and attacked their base.
