BREAKING: Democrats Will Retain Control of the Senate: A Herschel Walker Victory In Georgia Does not Change Things
Red State ^ | 11/12/2022 | Joe Cunningham

The Democratic Party will keep control of the Senate, Decision Desk HQ projects, after a batch of votes coming in from Clark County, Nevada, gave Catherine Cortez Masto the lead she needed to win re-election.

That puts the Senate at 50-49 in the Democrats’ favor. The final seat will go to the winner of the run-off between incumbent Democrat Raphael Warnock and Republican Herschel Walker in Georgia.

Decision Desk HQ projects Democrats retain their majority in the U.S. Senate with at least 50 seats, plus Vice President Kamala Harris’ tiebreaking vote.

Republicans were poised to win up to 53 seats, according to some of the polling leading up to the midterms, but a collapse of the predicted “Red Wave” in several states thwarted those predictions.

The Democrats were able to flip one Senate seat in Pennsylvania as celebrity doctor Mehmet Oz lost against the state’s Lt. Governor, John Fetterman. Democrats were also able to hold all of their swing state Senate seats, including Arizona and Nevada.

The GOP can keep the Senate split, with Vice President Kamala Harris being the tie-breaking vote, should they flip the Georgia seat.

“Looks like cocaine Mitch succeeded in sabotaging the MAGA movement wrt the Senate.”

The Reagan Revolution was ended by his establishment successor George H. W. Bush.

McConnell, Boehner, and Ryan destroyed the Tea Party.

Now the establishment has reaped the rewards of purposefully not doing anything about vote integrity.

The people who run the Republican Party, and the big money that funds it, do not want to be the vehicle for a populist movement.

There is no political party supporting individual liberty in this nation. Both pasties are committed to big government.

I hope not because we need as many seats as possible to counter the Romneys and Murkowskis (who has said she will support Bidens policies—she seriously said that).

SMH. What will it take to fire the turtle?

He has presided over 2 enormous consecutive political disasters. 2020 and now 2022 and in some ways this is even worse because we had all the factors that traditionally mean a change. High inflation, flagging economy, crime…yet it didn’t matter.

I think the reason is the media pushed the Jan 6 protest so hard the sheeple became convinced Maga is a threat. Ciupke that with the abortion ruling just months before which gave the far left women a reason to coalesce.

How is it that Kemp won decisively in GA but the senate is going to a runoff? Did voters actually split the ticket and vote for Kemp and Warnock? Also in Nevada (which was tight), how did Lombardo win but Laxalt didn't? I would think that the voters who voted for the R candidates for governor would have also pulled the lever for the Republican senate candidates.

Unless the Republican voters and politicians start accepting the fact that mail-in ballots are here forever, and we start playing the game as effectively as the dems, we are toast going forward. Start emulating what has worked for the dems in ballot harvesting and start getting involved in the vote counting, signing up to be an election worker, etc. Either way, both parties are worthless.

The RINO elites can afford to politically undermine the common working class movement(s) because they are rich and well connected and they will be rich and well connected regardlesss of the ontcome of elections in a general sense.

These ring wing globalist dilettantes go into politics to give meaning to their otherwise boring easy lives and to further enrich themselves because it is easy for them. Again, they are true dilettantes. They can wait out any poplular movement like you outlined in your post.

I’m an old man. I won’t live too much longer. But I’m well enough off not to suffer too much in the coming years. At this point I really don’t GAS shit about how Democrats suffer the next few years. They earned it. High prices shortages, soon they be selling their kids for food and I will laugh at their foolishness. Defund it all. Kill all the industry. Kill the energy. I don’t care about you, FU!. God will sort you out. Democrats.

I am probably not as old as you however I echo the same sediments. Let them freeze to deal, starve, live in filthy apartments with no power, I do not care about them anymore.

Nope.

Then again, the Qook psyops went on here for years, so...

This place has about jumped the shark.

“Again, they are true dilettantes. They can wait out any popular movement like you outlined in your post.”

What the dilettantes underestimate is what happens when the Democrats take power permanently, which may be about to happen. Schumer will kill the filibuster if he gets an absolute 51/49 vote majority (i.e. not a 50/50 tie with Kamala the tiebreaker). Add to that a small majority in the house and DC/Puerto Rico statehood (end of the electoral college) and expansion of the Supreme Court (legal tyranny unleashed) can be a reality.

Democrats in Congress always vote as a block. There is no “compromise”. With a 51 majority in the Senate, even if Manchin is a no vote on an issue (remember he always caves in the end) Kamala will break the tie. Plus Schumer and can always lean on Romney, Collins, and Murkoski (if she prevails in the ranked choice voting) to be bipartisan when they need the votes.

So what about 2024 under this scenario? The 2020 and 2022 elections have proven that with voting by mail, extended time voting, ballot harvesting, unattended drop boxes, rank choice voting in some states, and manipulation of electronic machines they can ensure they will always have the White House and a majority in both houses of Congress. It has become very clear the Democrats no longer care if the population believes they are cheating. In addition, with control of the executive and legislative branches they control the judiciary forever through appointments. Conservatives judges will die off and be replaced with leftist tyrants. Congress also has the power to create new courts and expand the number of judges on any court. Without the filibuster it is easy to flood the system with new liberal judges by expanding the lower federal courts.

Don’t forget they are already using the power of government to pressure corporations and donors to do their bidding. Next step is to essentially defund the political opposition. But what about independently wealthy billionaires? Look what they are doing to Trump and appear to be about to do with Elon Musk. Tie them up with lawsuits and tax investigations at the federal level and by state attorney generals. Turn social activist groups loose campaigns to boycot businesses. Pressure the regulated banks and financial institutions to deny them access to the banking system (see what happened to Kanye West). There have been calls to nationalize Musk’s Space X and Starlink in the interest of “national security”. If Democrat politicians call for a boycott of Tesla, whose customer base is primarily liberal to hard left, Musk could see sales plummet and be forced to sell out to General Motors.

The coordinated moves on Kanye and Musk are clearly a message. Toe the line or we’ll either destroy you completely (ask Roger Stone, Paul Manafort) or minimally make the rest of your life miserable.

I’ve watched corporate takeover battles for decades. They are ruthless and illustrative of human nature when the game is all about power. Pure Darwinism. Lives and careers destroyed. Once one side wipes out the other, they start turning on themselves. The same will happen if the Democrats get absolute power over the federal government. The Republicans who think they can placate the beast will find that when the beast has absolute power they will be crushed as will anyone who might be perceived as someday representing a threat.

What about the states? Some may think the states will resist. This is a fantasy. The Civil War showed that any state that tries to leave the union will be crushed and destroyed. At least in the 1860’s the agriculatural southern states could survive independently. States in the 21st century are dependent on the federal government for significant revenue. Individuals in the 21st century are minimally dependent on Social Security and Medicare. Businesses in the 21st century have sales and supply networks globally, not regionally.

What about the heavily armed population? People who willingly submitted to lockdowns and mandated vaccinations are not going to fight the US military in their neighborhoods. They lack organization and the communication networks are controlled by government. One day government will order people to turn in their weapons and as Great Britain, Canada, and Australia have proven, they will comply.

Look at the history of dictatorships. Slowly institutions are coopted and one day the tyrants suddenly take absolute power. The day before the tiger pounces people say it could never happen and the next day the police are rounding up dissidents, troops are standing guard in the capital, marshal law is in effect, a new constitution is drafted, elections are held, and the dictator is locked into power.

The squishy Republicans, like Lindsay Graham and Mitt Romney, will find on the takeover day their Democrat “friends” are no longer taking phone calls. The collaborators and appeasers will no longer have any reason for being. They will be arrested and locked up in jail as enemies of the state, be tried secretly or in a show trial, and find themselves in prison for life or lined up on a wall and shot.

When the game is all about power, there are no limits on what human beings will do. In an absolute power game the most ruthless win.

It does mean something for Walker to win.

It means kommela has to do something.

Plus, if the turtle were smart, he could negotiate with Manchin to come over to the gop-e side flipping the sinate.

the race does matter. don't by into the dim talking point.
