During a Pennsylvania MAGA rally tonight, President Trump went through the republican polling for the 2024 nomination contest.
When it came to the second-place polling finisher, President Trump gave the Florida governor a new nickname, “Ron DeSanctimonious.” LOL
Many people were caught off guard by the rather humous slight, aka a shot across the bow as subtle as a brick through a window; however, it’s likely President Trump was responding to the latest, well, rather cringy campaign ad from the Florida governor’s campaign, “Ron is God.”
$200 million in Wall Street and corporate donations buys a lot of hubris. Add that money to the echo-chambered DeSantis campaign branding group, mix in a few detached billionaires amid the cocktail circuit, and what you get is a cringeworthy ad in the same theme as the Ted Cruz campaign in 2016. The similarities are not coincidental.
“Ron DeSanctimonious” it’s funny, because like all the best nicknames, the truth within it just sticks.
...
Is it actially from DeSantis campaign or is it a PAC which MIGHT be a plant from Crist’s campaign masquerading as a pro DeSantis PAC? Conspiracy theorist at your service

I’m an independent, non-affiliated voter, and a Christian. I find this ad as hilariously revealing of their narcissism, especially that shot of DeSanctimonious (man can Trump call ‘em) at the end with his chin held high gazing out over the proletariat he’s been anointed to protect. Almost reminds me of that bourgeoisie pose of Obama’s with his chin held high.

OMG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now , all Ronnie needs to do is grow his hair long and wear a robe. WHAT A JOKE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But more tasty.
Couldn’t agree more.
We don’t need to go after our own when they are conservative and effective leaders. It doesn’t make our movement stronger. Reagan’s 11th Commandment has gone by the wayside.
I only made it 15 seconds into it.
Fake news. The ad is called "God Made a Fighter."
Kind of a stupid ad. But it’s NOT “Ron is God”... it’s “God made a fighter”.
LOL. Sundance is such a complete kook!
Kari Lake has made me forget all about Ron. He tends to pout and shout at the media. Kari owns them with a calm, confident dignity. Almost Reagan or Thatcheresque. And they attack her 10x worse.
I agree. The ad is cringe worthy, but claiming the ad is called “Ron Is God” is a flat out lie.
There's a LOT of fake news swirling around on FR tonight...
Yup.
You are right. But Sundance has been saying for over a year that DeSantis is a tool of Wall St types like Cruz or Jeb. I don’t see it. No way would Jeb ever pass the “don’t say gay” law or ban CRT textbooks as Ron did.
If Ron DeSantis ever runs for President, he may as well write off Pennsylvania and resist the urge to waste any resources there. I don’t think an establishment GOP tool like him is going to have much appeal among those Deplorables.
Ron DeSantis for President 2024
Donald J. Trump for Governor of Florida
Ron is god?
I just lost all respect for the man.
After seeing that ad I understand why Trump called him Desanctimoanious! What a dumb ad!
How is this any different from “Talent on loan from God”?
One does not have to be a never Trumper to realize that Trump’s continued mismanagement of his mouth and his turning on people are overwhelming disadvantages.
Time for Trump to step back as a candidate and work as a policy supporter and cabinet member.
Fact. It doesn’t take a genius to see that Trump does not have what it takes to implement his own policies . He opened tbe door but he is not tbe guy to bring us through.
Remember Moses led the people TO the promised land but was not the leader to lead the battles once there.
