Why There Should be no "Amnesty"

I put up the Atlantic article yesterday:

Elsewhere, in response to that screed, someone had dug up an LA Times article from January of this year, a relatively recent article in context of the Covid travesty:
Column: Mocking anti-vaxxers’ COVID deaths is ghoulish, yes — but may be necessary

The last part of the LA Times article, if I can summarize (not sure if if its part of the "shall not be excerpted" category), says to the effect "mocking and/or punishing those who question or reject the 'official' Covid narrative may be necessary", along with the Leftist catchphrase 'teachable moment', which is code for subjecting the target to a North Korea style struggle session.

This is why the Atlantic article is both hollow and self serving. THEY knew what they were doing, and at some level were doing it with the certitude of a fanatic. And the "teach them a lesson" tone of the LA Times piece shows some were taking a certain amount of self satisfaction in doing so. That's why an 'amnesty' is not possible with these types--given the next opportunity, they would do it again (and again, and again....)

This article has an interesting take, but I think its wishful thinking: We Need Justice For The Pandemic, Not "Forgiveness."

Why I think the author is indulging in wishful thinking is identified by the author himself: "I believe perpetrators call for forgiveness because they fear punitive justice."

The reason I bring this up again is because the conduct has been so egregious, so galling, and like Emily Litella from an old SNL skit a fury of hysteria then an "oh, nevermind".

In order to be offered amnesty or forgiveness the offending party needs to admit they were wrong and apologize. This will not happen.

How can there be amnesty while they're still doing it on other topics, like attacking anyone questioning the Paul Pelosi narrative while we don't have all the details and while the original reporting is changing.

My early 90s parents were locked doors like prisoners in their last year. They had to live in fear. They couldn’t go to church which they dearly loved. The azzholes manipulated them through fear to take that shot. 4 days later dad was in the hospital with heart inflammation. Came home with c-diff and both were gone in a few weeks.

The Deplorables want a Comprehensive Immigration Enforcement bill, missing since 1986 ONE TIME amnesty. Since that amnesty was granted already, a second amnesty is off the table. What remains is the enforcement the Democrats have disallowed since then.

The List of Comprehensive Immigration Enforcement, missing since 1986 goes like this -
1) southern barrier;
2) require eVerify to hire;
3) end all chain migration;
4) birthright per Minor v. Happersett (plural parents);
5) end work visas;
6) 40-year moratorium on all new applications for citizenship (to allow workplace automation effects on downsizing population);
7) Set up an illegal aliens’ victim restitution fund from tax on remittances. Use tax on remittances to replenish Social Security account.

Enactment of these provisions will motivate illegal aliens to SELF-deport, and remove colonizadors from our welfare rolls.
