Democrat-controlled state governments may finally be starting to realize the precedent problem standing in the way of their gun-control agenda. As I wrote when the Supreme Court decided New York State Rifle & Pistol Association, Inc. v. Bruen in June, the Court declared in that ruling a strong restoration of the Second Amendment: “the Second Amendment protects the rights of law-abiding, adult citizens (“the People”) to keep and bear arms, particularly weapons in common use. Therefore, any law restricting that right needs to be consistent with the Nation’s ‘historical tradition of firearm regulation.’”

Hmmmmm. Haven’t found where the 2nd says “adult” yet. 😂✌. You know what I mean. Don’t forget that branDUHn reminded us that none of them are absolute. Wonder if he feels that about the 13th and 19th....... 🤔
I hope this ends up being the case.
Haven’t seen any restrictions at all in the second amendment.
😎👌 Well except for permitting and age limitations and location restrictions and............. Oh, wait. Not there either. Weird huh?
What part of “shall not be infringed “ don’t these retards understand?
The pols read it as “Shall not be infringed...except by politicians desperate to control the people”. Guess it depends on what the definition of “infringed” is. Pretty sure bill clinton could explain.
All of the gun control bills on the books are unconstitutional. There are no age limits, types, or licenses required.
Or where it says guns must be loud. #suppressor
Maybe vehicles must be loud, no mufflers allowed. Except for law enforcement. /s
Or the 25th!
They might be getting that from the historical definition of ‘militia’.
Review this.
That is possible. We gotta consider life expectancy back then and maturity levels as well for youngsters. Today’s 14 year old probably not the same as a 14 year old in the late 1700s. 😊🙌
I like the following illustration.
“A well balanced breakfast being necessary to the start of a good day, the right of the people to buy and eat food shall not be infringed.”
Now, to whom does that right apply, the people or the breakfast?
Ping!
We should all start taking mufflers off our vehicles to raise awareness about some really stupid laws (cough NFA cough).
“...shall not be infringed.” is a huge restriction. On government.
As anyone who ever watched a Saturday afternoon western at the local movie theater know, the sheriff always returned the sixshooter to the crook when he let him out of jail.
Truth is if a man is too dangerous to have a gun he is too dangerous to be free.
