The article seems to me like propaganda. I don’t choose sides I just want to know if there is reason to take the article at face value. I suppose I can accept the specific losses as real numbers, but I do not see why they are “crippling” or “catastrophic”.

Does this mean that the EU may face Chinese troops? After all, China is out for world conquest. And I don’t think that Russia is finished with the Ukes, yet. It’s too big a country to give up that easily.

If they can’t beat Ukraine they would get nowhere with even a minor NATO power like Poland.

Yes, Russia’s economy is smaller than Australia’s. They do not have the productive capacity to compete.

Yes, they have lots of nukes but the subs, planes, and rockets are all 40 years old and ill-maintained. That failure rates would give America a crushing advantages in a nuclear exchange.

The nation that has to worry about that is Russia. Siberia is almost empty and rich in natural resources with 1.5 billion Chinese just across the border.
China, despite Xi and Putin’s seeming friendship, has never given up its claims to that region.
Great, Russia is no longer a threat to the west. Well, I guess we don’t need NATO anymore, pack it up and bring it all home fellas.
