I'm not so sure Garland is going to indict Trump

Despite assurances to the contrary, Merrick Garland's DOJ is leaking faster than the Titanic after it struck the iceberg. This from Jonatham Turley on Aug. 25

The feds have maintained that absolute secrecy is essential to protect their investigation and national security while reportedly leaking some of the very information the affidavit contains. It is an all-too-familiar pattern for some of us who have litigated national-security cases against the government.

The Washington Post and The New York Times have published a series of leaks clearly designed to put Donald Trump and his team on the defense in the media, including claims that he was hiding sensitive nuclear-weapons material and details on how the search was prompted by video surveillance outside the storage room at Mar-a-Lago.

And it hasn't stopped. Yesterday:
A slew of the documents obtained at the Aug. 8 raid on Mar-a-Lago contained top secret content that only the president, his Cabinet members and near-Cabinet-level members are authorized to have knowledge of, sources told The Washington Post. Some of the information requires special clearances where only a few dozen people are allowed to have access to the operation’s existence.
"sources told The Washington Post."

Drip, drip, drip.

Turley again:

... These leaks seem to come when the Justice Department is facing opposing actions in court and sever to frame the public debate through selective releases of information.
These leaks are clearly meant to blunt the blowback the obviously compromised FBI/DOJ has encountered. This does make me question whether the DOJ really has a case against Trump.
  1. They wouldn't need to try Trump so vigorously in the media if they were so sure they could try him in Court.
We've seen how the left has lost its mind over a judge appointing a Special Master to review the seized documents.

The left is frantically afraid of a fair and independent review.

When U.S. District Judge Aileen M. Cannon issued an order for the appointment of a special master, she instantly became the latest jurist targeted by a furious mob of media and pundits. Rather than simply disagree with her order, these critics attacked Cannon personally and ethically, including lawyers and law professors. It is a familiar pattern but the fury shown in the last two days is chilling for our federal judges who have seen increasing attacks, including an alleged attempted assassination of Justice Brett Kavanaugh.  Nevertheless, legal and media figures seemed to rush to outdo each other in the most extreme statements about a judge with a distinguished background.
Read the whole thing to see how crazed and warped these people are.  What possible discoveries might come out of such a review that would cause the sheer vitriol directed toward the judge who issued the review ruling?

Any evidence leaked should be thrown out of court. That would stop this bs.

When Garland announced that he ordered the raid on Trump’s home, he ran off the podium and refused to answer questions. He has yet not made himself available to the press. He knows he will be asked if he had any communications with the White House. Suspect he will resign if Republicans take the Senate or House. If subpoenaed he will claim executive privlidge or take the 5th. The man is a despicable, cowardly worm

.
Did they leak about Mannafort and Stone?

And Papadopolous?

And they indicted them all.

Cohen - they leaked and indicted him.

Joe Biden wants Trump indicted. Everything is about protecting his Foreign Business secret.

He probably thinks he wins - and if he doesn’t it’s Pence or someone else he’s close friends with.

Yes, Pence met with Biden monthly as VP, they are very good friends, and it was the VP club or something stupid.

Interesting take.

I never read the book, but apparently one of the seasoned Homicide Detectives that worked the OJ case….not Furman…wrote one about the whole debacle. Apparently LAPD interviewed some pretty compelling witnesses with regard to the case. Some of these witnesses then spoke to the media, rendering their statements and any testimony useless.

I do find it funny though, as the warrant fizzles out they get a WaPo reporter to toss out foreign nuclear secrets.

How do we know what is a secret? We can’t tell you because it’s secret. So how do we verify it’s legitimate? Trust us.

Children. The whole thing is being done by children

The idea will be to indict Trump, so they can then do their FBI lead false flag terrorism. They can then use this as a pretext to prevent elections, lock down the county, or force mail-in voting on a mass scale because polling places will not be “safe.”

From the article: “They wouldn’t need to try Trump so vigorously in the media if they were so sure they could try him in Court.”

Exactly.

If he did indict Trump. It would be the first shot fired in the 2022 American revolution.

You’re definitely playing with fire you would think they would be smart enough to know what would happen. But then again the Democrats are so lawless they don’t really care.

The DOJ and the FBI are going to get their rears probed when the House committee’s renew in January. Count on it, they need to really turn on the heat so as to win everything in 2024 and unless they get aggressive they will fail to energize the base.

The movers and shakers at Rat Party Headquarters will carefully weigh the pluses and minuses of an indictment...and act accordingly.
