Former President Trump's request to appoint a special master to review the documents taken by the FBI in their raid on his Mar-a-Lago residence was rejected by the US Department of Justice (DOJ) on the grounds that it is now moot.
DOJ attorneys explained that "the whole point of a neutral party serving as a special master is to protect the suspect's attorney-client confidentiality from being exposed to the prosecutors. However, as Attorney General Merrick Garland has admitted, the FBI has already read all the documents—including the privileged communications between Trump and his lawyers. We know everything. There is nothing left for a special master to protect. The only realistic course for Mr. Trump is to confess his guilt and hope we will be merciful."

he can still review the papers and make note for the court of what inappropriate things were read, likely throwing out many charges that are based on the poison fruit of reading those papers.

Good then if the special master rejects it then they can not use anything in a court of law.

Well, John, hooked a few today. Honestly, I have to often check for the source of news not knowing if it is satire or proper news source.
At this point, you’re probably more accurate than just satire.
You can be that they copied everything, and scanned every document for fingerprints too.
Because the DOJ has passed it all on to the Washington Post.
Many are missing the point.
The Judge issued an ORDER. This report says DOJ “rejects” President Trump’s request. This “news” appears to be a rejection made before the Judge’s Order.
It’s no longer a request, it’s an order. That means a 3rd Party is going to inspect what the DOJ says was taken from Mar-a-Lago, AND that means a list will be made AND said list will be compared to evidence of what Trump lawyers, staff, CCTV, Records claim of what was taken AND compared with what was specified on the Search Warrant.
All the above spells trouble for DOJ.
Now, when the Special Master completes their inspection and forensic examination, we can expect any discrepancies in lists and Warrant specifics to come before the Court with a demand that all materials taken be returned and declared “Fruit of the Poisonous Tree.”
Then, we expect a jury to be convened to try the case on charges of violations of Fourth Amendment and other constitutional rights.
Should the jury return a verdict of guilty, not only will Punitive Damages be awarded, but criminal referrals made against perpetrators in the Department.
Should the Red Wave succeed in November, look for Jim Jordan to lead a committee that investigates DOJ personnel including Merrick Garland, including Michael Horowitz for impeachabe offenses and criminal conduct.
If MAGA candidates take Congress in November, look for due process and accountability to be the headlines in 2023 and beyond.
Now we know, when we call for accountability, for trials, for prison sentences, we may sound to the uninformed, we may sound similar to far left trolls calling for Trump to be hanged for treason. But such trolls are insane, bizarre, whereas, we are sane and not bizarre.
We are not bizarre, we are disgusted at the lies, treachery, the sheer waste of time taken from our lives by the criminal conduct of an out of control, self-appointed ruling class living high on the hog feeding at the federal trough thinking they’re entitled.
It’s simple to understand.
When they waste our time, we get righteosly pissed, but then, we wake up and we get smart.
This interior war will continue far past 2024.
The coming Election Reform Commission will itself continue into the latter half of the decade.
A decade wasted, taken from our lives, by profligate thugs wearing suits, carrying law degrees, acting as modern-day Al Capones.

The FIB / DO(in)J has already stolen everything they can use against Trump and destroyed anything exculpatory.
Doing it this late, is like locking the barn door after the horses escaped and a bunch of of skunks, rats and weasels have moved in.
