Interesting thought on Ukraine being a Jan 6th type trap, where American veterans, angry that they never got to fight Russia (or the Soviet Union, depending on when they served), finally get that chance, and thus get out of the way regarding American politics since Ukraine simply sends them to the front lines to get mashed up.

Following the Afghanistan Debacle Biden has ramped up Ukraine and Taiwan and both are his way of countering the Karl Rove Republican tactic of “emotional wedge” issues to separate Democrats from getting votes.
These issues have the potential to emotionally wedge voters away from the Republicans who are forced to cheer on these matters or else look weak on national defense.
