When Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) looks around his adopted hometown of Washington, D.C.—a city shamelessly and aggressively using every lever of federal power to destroy Donald Trump and the 76 million Americans who dared to vote for him in 2020—he sees only one menace to the well-being of the nation:
January 6 protesters.
“I do think it’s an important issue,” McConnell said in response to a reporter’s question about a recent poll that ranked “threats to democracy” as the top concern among registered voters who responded. “There were those who were trying to prevent the orderly transfer of power for the first time in American history and that was not good.”

The only reason political parties still exist is to give voters the illusion of choice.
A pol is either loyal to our former republic or to Deep State.
McConnell is Deep State.
Note to folks in the UK: You lot have the same problem. You just haven’t realized it yet.
Because DEMOCRATS give him slush money to dole out to Kentucky so he can go back and stump every 6 years and tell how “he done proud for Kentucky.”
And then he goes back to being entirely comfortable with second-tier power and the scraps Democrats deign to give him.
A despicable human being, IMO.
I may — possibly — vote in November. But it gets harder and harder. The GOP acts like they own me and that they just have a right to my vote. They make no effort to earn my vote. In fact, people like McConnell spit in my face and dare me to let the Democrats win. It increasingly seems like it doesn’t matter.

You’re right about the GOP as a body. But you can’t even consider the GOP as a block. You have to judge, candidate-by-candidate, some of whom also hate the GOP.
These freaks completely ignore what they were doing to Trump as he came into office, that is not a peaceful transfer of power. Using the government apparatus and unconstitutional fisa courts to hamper and frame Trump was an act of extreme violence on Americans. The fact that no one has in any way been held accountable is even more disgusting and equivalent to the rape of the American people.
We are leaderless and under attack.
Nobody in power is in command of the opposition to tyranny.
Instead, everyone is in bed with our foreign global adversaries.
Yay for us!
We need to find and run our own candidates, including MAGA red Donald Dem DINOs in ‘Rat primaries.
And in the meantime, keep voting.
We still scare Deep State.
We won’t if we surrender.
Money booze women and power. It’s the elite’s heroin.
