California set to BAN the sale of all new gasoline cars

California on Thursday is expected to put into effect its sweeping plan to prohibit the sale of new gasoline-powered cars by 2035, a groundbreaking move that could have major effects on the effort to fight climate change and accelerate a global transition toward electric vehicles.

“This is huge,” said Margo Oge, an electric vehicles expert who headed the Environmental Protection Agency’s transportation emissions program under Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama. “California will now be the only government in the world that mandates zero-emission vehicles. It is unique.”

The rule, issued by the California Air Resources Board, will require that 100 percent of all new cars sold in the state by 2035 be free of the fossil fuel emissions chiefly responsible for warming the planet, up from 12 percent today. It sets interim targets requiring that 35 percent of new passenger vehicles sold in the state by 2026 produce zero emissions. That would climb to 68 percent by 2030.

“1776 all over again.”

Or Russia 1917-1989, Germany 1933-1945, China 1949-?.

But the fact is they are calling for banning the SALE of cars, not ownership.

FACT remains that, it's all about the liberal intent to ban oil/fossil-fuels, and all of the usage of such, which means that, they'll have to go back and ban any use of vehicles using such fuels, whether bought originally in California or outside. Allowing out-of-state-bought vehicles to be used in California, would effectively render the California ban completely useless and a joke.

And, fireworks vs ICE vehicles, is not a comparison worth considering. Vehicles are everyday and every minute usage, while fireworks are perhaps one or two times a year purchases, and have virtually no significant effect on the environment.

Electric vehicles will go by the wayside hydrogen is making fast forward moves Porch BMW and many other car companies have started to produce them.
Now even passenger jets and trains are using hydrogen fuel it’s a win win deal no black outs or need for rare minerals less emissions to produce them and a much lower cost to purchase a car.
Even China is in on the production of it in fact they are leading the market now.

Federal/State gas taxes will be null so they will make that revenue up by taxing EV by the miles they drive, some other EV tax, etc.

I read while back thieves already stealing the copper from the EV charging machines.

<>The rule, issued by the California Air Resources Board<>

In the early 90s I was stationed in CA for a short time.

Back then, the CARB began the phaseout of charcoal BBQs and gas-powered lawn mowers.

The writing was on the wall.

The Left can’t stop. Whatever they do is never enough.

It is why all Leftist rule eventually ends in gulags.
