It Continues: Texas School District Removes the Bible, Anne Frank's Diary From Shelves

In this episode of The Left’s Insidious Crusade to Destroy America as We Know It

All versions of the Bible and an illustrated version of Anne Frank’s diary have been pulled from shelves by a school district in the Dallas-Forth Worth area. As reported by the Dallas Morning News, the Keller Independent School District emailed principals on Tuesday morning ordering the removal of the books.

Jennifer Price, the district’s curriculum director, sent principals a set of instructions, along with a spreadsheet of all books about which families or members of the community have complained.

By the end of today, I need all books pulled from the library and classrooms. More information will be sent regarding action for these books. … Once this has been completed, please email me a confirmation. We need to ensure this action is taken by the end of today.

Panic much, Ms. Price? Why? Never mind — we already know the answer. The school district either caved to a vocal minority of leftist bigots or agreed with their bigotry from the outset. Either way, I’ll go out on a limb and bet y’all [Texas talk] were scared to death of a lawsuit.

District spokesman Bryce Nieman said Keller school trustees recently approved a new policy that requires every book that was previously challenged to be reconsidered.

To be fair, many of the titles focused on gay or transexual themes, including the book that started the whole thing, “Gender Queer: A Memoir,” a graphic novel by Maia Kobabe that explores gender identity and sexual orientation and includes illustrations depicting oral sex.

But the Bible? Or the diary of a young Jewish girl and her family hiding from Hitler’s Nazis?

Incidentally, 15-year-old Anne and her family were ultimately captured and sent to the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. Anne was just 16 when she died.

Neiman was unsure of the timeline for the review process to be completed. No doubt — more than 800 titles were on the removal list. Just me, or does Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451 come to mind?

Later in the day, another message went out from the district’s associate superintendent, in obvious response to dissatisfaction with the earlier order that the books be pulled from school shelves:

Books that meet the new guidelines will be returned to the libraries as soon as it is confirmed they comply with the new policy. We hope to be able to expedite the process and return eligible books into circulation as soon as possible.

Here’s where the crazy starts.

The decision came after Texas education officials began an investigation in December into claims that the district did not properly evaluate the books that had made their way into classrooms and school libraries, which may have resulted in sexually explicit materials being made accessible to school-aged children.

Stop the tape.

I’m no Bible scholar, but I’m unaware of sexually explicit content in the Bible. And while Anne Frank’s diary covers the period in which she goes through puberty and experiences a mutual attraction with a teenage boy, there is no inappropriate sexually explicit content in the diary, either.

Anyway, Texas Governor Greg Abbott called on state education officials at the time to investigate “the availability of pornography” in public schools and to develop new standards that would prevent “obscene content in Texas public schools.” Who knew that list would include the Bible and Anne Frank’s diary?

Shocked? Me, neither.

The books pulled from shelves are undergoing a second review by staff and librarians under a new policy adopted last week, the school district said in a statement. Parents and staff have met behind closed doors to review books that could be considered controversial and determine if they have a place in schools.

How much would you like to observe those discussions?

Christians and other various other moralists incensed over the removal of the Bible and Anne Frank’s diary pitted against those who believe “Gender Queer: A Memoir” is a swell read for the kiddies.

The bottom line:

It’s “almost” like the Keller Independent School District yanked the Bible and Frank’s diary from shelves in an attempt to demonstrate “fairness” to the LGBTQ and drag queen crowds, huh? Color me cynical.

There were about four versions of Anne Frank’s diary o Dr the years.

Her father took out some parts relating to her growth as a young girl (for privacy reasons as well as to prevent their use by sexual predators/zealots).

The Communists took out parts relating to resisting and fighting totalitarianism, which they thought could be used against them. They made her in a “peace activist” much like Greta Thunberg has been made into the poster-girl for the environmental movement.

Don’t exactly remember why the other versions were edited the way they were.

More Bravo Sierra from the Trump hating news media.

The facts come out in the end.

Anne Frank’s diary in family friendly version back in the 1950’s.

New writings not in the original could raise questions I’m being told this “Anne Frank Diary” has illustrations that may be graphic in nature so one should question whether they mean the original Anne Frank diary 1950’s style in this article.

Every State has major urban areas that are infested with RATs, because conservatives are too busy working to pay attention to school board elections.

Texas, Wyoming, Alaska, Utah, Idaho, Arizona, Georgia, etc. No exceptions.

This real story is just about the opposite of what the article says. The book in question is a graphic, pornographic version of Anne Frank’s diary. The parents have been fighting to have inappropriate books removed and now have a reasonable procedure in place.
