Very good article.
enough brayin
I agree wholeheartedly with the article, even though my wife and I like our EV. EV’s have their good points, but it’s a lie to say that they cause zero pollution or that driving them will save us from cow fart warmageddon.
How many of us are anti-coal?
Any mined product is a pain in the vesuvius. Who knew?
As for some of this stuff winding up in a land fill somewhere
that is going to be an environmental calamity, it sounds a
lot like the ill wind that blows about ICE emissions.
Must we really adopt the tactics of the Left to target a car
we just hate?
This anti electric car noise is as ill thought out as the
anti ICE car noise. STOP IT!
I believe there are legitimate topics to be raised, as for
us actually being able to charge these cars on the current
grid infrastructure. Beyond that, we’ve become them.
If I have to start wearing Berkinstocks to protest in
the streets, I’m not going to be a happy camper.
I own a small used EV. It’s the best car I’ve ever owned.
Eeeeeenuff already!
You couldn’t pay me to drive an ornate glorified golf cart.
This article as has much fear porn in it as the Leftist
anti warming ICE car nonsense fomented by the Communists.
If some of these elements that are being touted as terrible
contaminants were that bad, there would be global poisonings
from the substances found in nature.
Water supplies would be contaminated. People would be dying
by the truckload.
Folks, get a freaking grip!d
We have abandoned mines in our nation that could be used
to deposit this stuff deep underground if we need to.
It came from the ground. Putting it back there isn’t going
to be a problem.
Good freakin grief.
Democrats planned to poison Americas water supply with non- recycled solar panels. They’re filling our landfills now.
The US power grid is itself only 33% efficient. Just adding a highly overlooked point, usually not added to the equation.
The ICE powered vehicles dominated for over 100 years because they are better.
Oil and coal have plenty of horrible environmental negatives. Why don’t you have a problem with those? Lithium Ion batteries took about 10 years from invention to commercial usage. Non heavy metal batteries are here but not yet commercial. Once those technologies are commercially produced, most of your objections go away.
people buy evs
people like evs
fine
that is not what this is about
the demonization, intentionally driving up ice costs and eventual outlawing of ice vehicles is the issue
liberty v tyranny
EV’s are here, now. In Europe and elsewhere, especially in China, EV’s are outselling gasoline vehicles ins some markets. In America where distances and commutes are long and gas is cheap,EV’s may never be as popular.
To equate an electric vehicle with terrorism and antiChristianity is just foolish.
The fact is, the market will determine the degree of acceptance in the USA. We won’t know for a couple of years.
BTW, neither GM not Tesla EV’s are subject to the Federal subsidy. Both have sales of more than 200,000 vehicles
Something very few know about EVs, is that for some reason, people *in the passenger seat* can be prone to car sickness.
It doesn’t afflict the driver, nor I believe those in the back seat. But after a half hour or so, some passengers are likely to vomit.
I can attest to this because I got nailed that way, so I looked it up. Sunny day, driving on flat ground in the city.
From the article:
“The making of the battery for the EVs, phones and every other convenience in America is done by slave labor in China and Asia killing their workers by the thousands. They are being exposed to every type of poison and heavy metal under the sun in the most horrific conditions imaginable so some bottle blonde housewife can drive to Starbucks, and everyone notice she is a “good” person who cares about God’s Creation.”
So if we should not buy EVs because their batteries are made with slave labor and dangerous chemicals, are you also saying we should give up our phones? What would that accomplish except virtue-signaling?
I know a few folks who own EVs. I’ve never heard them say anything about Earth worship. Mostly they think the price of oil is going to keep rising. The “cheap” cost of gas cars is no longer so cheap. But then I’m not a mind reader as you seem to be. That must be a nice superpower to have.
I'm actually thinking of getting a Tesla for my second car. Just a car for my wife to tool around town in running errands and maybe I'll use it to commute to the train station when I have to go into the office. Definitely not for long range trips or any kind of serious use.
Being "green" has nothing to do with it as my gas-powered Subaru Outback is way more green than any EV. I also use an Apple iPhone and I hope the slaves in China making it forgive me.
