The Washington Post changed the headline of an opinion piece by Fareed Zakaria after facing intense backlash on Twitter over the suggestion that Democrats should “Forget Pronouns.”
The article was first posted on Thursday with the headline, “Forget Pronouns: Democrats need to become the party of building things,” and Zakaria shared the article on Twitter with the commentary that getting “stuff done” is “a lot more important to most Americans than using the right pronouns.”
Zakaria’s message was widely criticized, with many emphasizing the importance of respecting pronouns and paying attention to the needs of transgender people. Chasten Buttigieg, husband of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, wrote, “It is wildly inappropriate to instruct Democrats to toss aside an entire group of Americans in order to win.”

Will “thing “ or “it “ work for them?
“Zakaria’s message was widely criticized, with many emphasizing the importance of respecting pronouns and paying attention to the needs of transgender people.”
The only thing needed by trans people is therapy.
There are all kinds of therapy. Certainly there is a discipline that would be effective.
Fareed’s new pronoun: “was”
Their attempts to get US to pay attention to pronouns is an effort to divert our energy from addressing real problems. SMH at former colleagues who now include their preferred pronouns in their linkedin profiles.
I’m not sophisticated enough to use PROnouns. That’s why I stick to amateur nouns like “freaks” and “pedos” to describe these perverts.
Of course most of the useful idiots have been brainwashed into believing that choosing their own pronouns is some kind of assertion of personal autonomy and rebellion and any effort to normalize pronoun usage is an act of oppression by a male dominated hierarchy to oppress them.
The puppet masters on the left, on the other hand, understand what Orwell wrote about language, and if you control language you ultimately control thought. That's what's behind this nonsense, and the vocal proponents of pronoun choice are totally oblivious to it.
The problem is the people obsessed with pronouns are in control of everything and show no signs of going away!
Who among us can possibly remember the “correct” pronouns to use anyway? Grammar is an almost forgotten art as it is, and this only further complicates an already complicated language.
Perhaps this an attempt to recreate the confusion that marked the building of the Tower of Babel. Similar sounding words that have completely contradictory meanings.
This is from the piece:
“Democrats need to once more become the party that gets stuff done, builds things and makes government work for people. That’s a lot more important to most Americans than using the right pronouns.”
This shows that the headline is not only reasonable, regarding the headline, it’s a dead-on summation.
So the message from this headline re-write is not the specifics, but rather the power the militant Left has over its own media. Seems that the militants get the final word, even over the media they control.
This conclusion is unavoidable. By using those “preferred pronouns” we are bowing down to the wishes of a select few, accepting them as our overlords, and doing their bidding.
EXACTLY right
Seeing them eat their own makes my day
Great link!
It amazes me the people that insist on being led around by the nose by the demands of a tiny, tiny fraction of the population.
The “establishment” Democrats want to keep slowly boiling the frog, or at least stop folks from talking about boiling the frog.
The hardcore leftist wing of the party wants to execute the frog with extreme prejudice.
“Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, wrote, “It is wildly inappropriate to instruct Democrats to toss aside an entire group of Americans in order to win.””
But the little prancing sodomite thinks it is appropriate to toss aside an entire culture for the benefit of a statistically negligible percent of the population.
And the amateurnouns don’t even get a mention.
That’s what I’ve been saying. Why complify the simplicated?
These people are dangerously insane.
See my tag line.

“after facing intense backlash on Twitter “
How many of those are bots?
We live in the Matrix.
As Rush used to say, people think that Twitter is reality.
