If you read the source Telegram channel you learn a few things. Like the source is "Volunteers, volunteers and war correspondents of the Russian Spring ( rusvesna.su ) operate in the combat formations of troops in the Donbass, Ukraine and Syria". That's directly from militia fighters in the DPR and LNR, and contractors fighting for Russia and/or Assad in Syria.
Probably not a very reliable source.
But if you read a few minutes more you learn that they are trafficking in captured Ukrainian weapons. The guy pictured is not a Ukrainian, he's a militia fighter on the other side. And he's holding a captured weapon.
If those weapons ended up in Syria it is because the Russian Spring took them with them to Syria to sell.

A couple of minutes inspection of the source images shows that they are from Russian and DPR/LNR militia sources. One source is @ukraina_ru, a Russian government channel. The other source is Russian Spring.
