The head of the British Army told his troops that they must "prepare to fight in Europe again" in order to defeat Vladimir Putin's forces.
This is reported by Sky News, reports censor.No with reference to the Ukrainian truth.
General Patrick Sanders, who replaced Mark Carleton Smith as chief of the British General Staff on Monday, warned soldiers about the challenges they face amid the war in Ukraine.
"There is now an urgent need to create an army capable of fighting alongside our allies and defeating Russia in battle," the general said.

"We are a generation that must prepare the army to fight again in Europe," he added.
The head of the army said he was "the first chief of the general staff since 1941 to take command of an army in the shadow of a land war in Europe involving a continental state."
"Russia's invasion of Ukraine underscores our main goal – to protect the United Kingdom by being ready to fight and win wars on land," the general said. Source:

It would be amusing to see the UK invade Russia. I'm not sure it would make the United Kingdom a stronger nation. But by all means, protect your nation as you see fit.

Generals have always demanded bigger forces, and more money. Sometimes they’re right, and sometimes they’re wrong.
But for this British general to specifically mention Russia is just nuts. It’s a wild provocation. And it plays right into the hands of those Russians who see everyone else as a mortal enemy.
