At least 2 200 households near Flagstaff, Arizona were ordered to evacuate late Monday, June 13, 2022, due to threats posed by the growing Pipeline Fire.

Due to conditions of extreme peril to the safety of persons and property, Flagstaff Mayor Paul Deasy signed a declaration of emergency for the Pipeline Fire, allowing him to govern by proclamation and impose regulations as needed.

The fire started on Sunday morning, about 10 km (6 miles) north of Flagstaff, producing a noticeable plume of smoke and forcing recreationists in the area to leave immediately, especially those in the area of Schultz Pass down to Ft. Valley Trailhead.

I read the whole article. I don’t know what was in the pipeline. And it appears to be a 4,000 acre big pipeline.

It's the name of the wildfire. There is a water pipeline that feeds the city near where the fire originated. Thus, the fire was named for that.

Another inflation driver. I’m surprised a food processing plant didn’t spontaneously combust right near it. You got to wonder, there’s too many coincidences.

Watch that important distinction go missing in MSM reporting. All they need is "Pipeline".

Yep; it was lit on a day when the wind was a regular blowtorch. Couldn’t get any aircraft up or anything; the damn thing just ran free. Sabotage, just like Cali a couple o years back.

There are no coincidences as we continue the nosedive towards a stone age society again.

Here in southwest Colorado, we had a lot of smoke from that fire two days ago but today is clear as can be and not a cloud in the sky. We certainly need rain.

Timber/brush Fires in California/? during this time of the year are not due to lightning. .

99 times out of a hundred they are caused by arsonists.

A small town, Angwin, in Northern Ca. recently had a fire at a gas filling station. Turned out it was set by an arsonist and basically no widespread damage.

3 days ago — Authorities in Napa County have arrested a man suspected of setting a gas station on fire in Angwin on Wednesday. Cal Fire, Napa County Fire, ...

All of our 50 states need to make any arson a lifetime penalty jail sentence if one deliberately sets a fire.

If any arson fire kills someone, that should be an automatic death sentence in 30 days after being found guilty in a trial.

You mean it is literally a water pipeline?! HAHAHA! I almost made the joke in my first post, “Is it a water pipeline?”

So it is not a pipeline fire. It is a wildfire.

Good thing it wasn’t next to a unicorn statue or they’d have called it a Unicorn fire. 😂

Caused by a homeless idiot burning toilet paper.

I disagree with you on the penalty. It should be death. Doesn’t matter if it kills anyone or not.

I have experienced arson twice. The people are sick and need to be terminated. They will not stop.

I was run out of our home by a fire set by an arsonist in Texas. Never caught. Two did it again after the fire was under control. That was summer of ‘11.

Correct. I wish I could turn it into an Inspector Clouseau "not anymore" or Austin Powers "I've gone cross-eyed" joke, but there you have it.

The Pipeline fire is not a pipeline fire but a wildfire named Pipeline near a pipeline. It would only be funnier if the pipeline were nicknamed Wildfire. Supposedly set by some bum burning the waste from his bum instead of burying it.

Most likely named after the water line that runs from the Peaks down to the Schultz Tank and Schultz Pass road and along that to the city of Flagstaff.

So...the water source is now most likely contaminated..they just havent admitted it yet.

I wondered about that. The headline sounds like sabotage on the order of food processing plant fires. The body of the piece shows it is a more normal forest fire.
