An active shooter opened fire in the facility in Smithsburg, Maryland.
Three people are dead after someone opened fire inside a manufacturing facility in western Maryland Thursday afternoon, Gov. Larry Hogan said.
Deputies responded to the active shooting at Columbia Machine, Inc. on Bikle Road in Smithsburg around 2:30 p.m.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office said there are "multiple fatalities." Hogan later confirmed at a news conference that three people were killed.
The suspect was shot and injured during a confrontation with a Maryland State Police trooper, the sheriff's office said. The shooter was hospitalized, but their condition is unclear at this time.
The trooper suffered a minor injury, authorities said.

That’s in the civilized part of Maryland, eight miles east of Hagerstown and 20 miles southeast of Gettysburg.
Somehow the conspiracy theorists will find a way to link this to the recent spate of manufacturing and farm fires.
Wonder if any are connected to the Vax?
I still can’t wrap my head around just how frequently these things occur when the left is pushing for “common sense gun legislation”. I may be dipping my toe into the Alex Jones conspiracy pond, but it just seems to me like far too much of a coincidence. Happens every time, without fail.
My apologies in advance if this question has been answered (I’ve been avoiding the news for most of the day, and it’s been magnificent!), but where/how did Kavanaugh’s would be assassin acquire the Glock? I pose the same question to the “po’boy” in Uvalde that had a Daniel Defense AR, and a new F-150.

doesn’t it seem odd that all of a sudden when Congress - both houses - are hard on crazy to disarm you, me, and every normal America citizen, that we have a flood of shootings?
This reminds me of the movie “V for Vendetta”, where the paranoid guy in charge tells his ministers to “demonstrate why they need us”, with the flood of broadcast maladies thatonly they can fix.
What happened to the ministers and that head guy ? ;)
"Their condition?" Do we have a gender confused shooter here or just a gender confused copy writer?
These most likely happen frequently but aren’t reported….unless there is an agenda. Plus, this sucks up the political air and keeps discussion of the terrible economic situation.

More likely the writer didn’t have any information on the shooters sex. Rare to none they are female though. There was the ‘I don’t like Mondays’ school shooter back in the 80s... only female mass shooter I can remember.
It’s a big country, there are shootings all the time.
Which ones get reported, when they get reported and how much air time these stories get is someone’s decision.
I think we all know who is making those decisions and why.
