Over the past four years, I've been recording vehicles taking the I-5 Union street freeway exit too fast. This is just a quick compilation of the crashes that I've recorded.

A few looked like the same car, white with a sunroof. Also, for those into Tesla-bashing, one of the cars looked like Tesla.
The cars that crashed were distracted or going too fast and hit the barriers before coming into camera view on the crash compilation.Seattle I5 Union Street Exit | May 10, 2022 | Jeff von Groethe
Tesla’s ARE fast….. maybe could use a little more breaking capability FYI…..
City? State? Nation?
Seattle WA, as I indicated in the keywords.
S..t hole now with extra excitement.
This is how things are with me, anyhow.
That whole freeway lid serves as a prime example of the rampant stupidity of SeattLunatics. Kudos to the brainiac who determined that it would be worthwhile to place a concrete cap over a major thoroughfare, forever limiting expansion. The offramps are just another facet in a remarkably piss-poor design.
Now I read that the same idiots want to rip it all out and do something different (but alas not better). I have no doubt that they’ll find creative ways to spend billions and billions and billions and...
So we watched this one and still couldn’t figure out why it is/was such a deal.
Sorta like that roundabout in Milwaulkee: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vmi8AjlNDlY
I live nearby ( yeah, sorry for me) and I’ve taken this offramp thousands of times.
There are several off ramps to the right in this area. Some go straight for quite a ways, but this one happens to have a right turn, in the dark under an overpass, with a stop light about 50 yards from the end of the overpass. Locals are aware of the rapid right turn and stop, but if not, you are coming off of freeway speed (when there is less traffic) and come to a blind right hand turn with a blind stop light.
The Seattle convention center is the building to the left on the first picture. That crosswalk is often loaded with people depending on what’s happening at the center.
Yep, that’s another one that gets featured prominently in the u-toob car crash videos. Almost invites a feller to ask if they engineered it that stupidly on purpose?
;’}
Looks like incompetent drivers to me.
But this is San Fagsicko, so no surprise?
The paddle shifter with no brake lights phenomenon reminds me of when there were a larger number of drivers with stick shifts who’d every now and then slow by down-shifting. LOL

Love that one.
We had one of those here that caught trucks regularly. They spent millions to lower the road a couple feet. Took them over a year. I imagine it would have cost more to try and raise the railroad tracks the bridge carried.
It’s as if those drivers are drugged up. imo
Seattle=same, same.
I’m thinking a few “Slow down/ 20 MPH / Curve Ahead” signs might help.
When I drove a manual transmission, I always did the exact opposite because brakes are cheaper and easier to replace than a clutch.
