Europe now cheats or suffers
The Saker ^ | Jorge Vilches

...There is a very important game-changing rub that short-sighted EU politicians haven´t yet fathomed, let alone sorted out. And it will hit them hard, head-on, blindsided without any protection whatsoever. Not even their favorite protection, i.e, political cover for an obvious self-inflicted harm that public opinion is now witnessing front & center. Because, as duly forewarned, there will be tons of very serious problems with the 65% of consumers using — and most negatively affected by — the new non-Russian seaborne oil blends which literally no one would be exempt from....

Not a parqtical ban!

How will the Europeans manufacture parquet flooring without it?

This could be catastrophic!

Saker is pointing out the high Economic costs of refinement in substituting lower quality, high in sulfur and chemical waste products, crude for the Russian light crude.

Or the high Economic cost of cheating the sanctions and buying the light Russian crude outright.

Me, I find it enjoyable that EuroWeenies will Freeze and Starve their citizens, in the dark for the GloboNazis, especially with all their recent ME Muzzie "Immigrants" they have imported.

The "Unrest" will be fun to watch, and Europe, as we know it, won't survive.

Russian oil finds loopholes in sanctions and reaches customers in the US

Sanctions prohibiting the transfer of Russian oil by sea have proved ineffective. Russian transport and oil refining companies have found a way to get around the bans, writes WSJ. According to the publication, in May, Russian oil reached customers in New York and New Jersey. The oil cargo was poisoned across the Suez Canal and the Atlantic from Indian oil refineries.

In American ports, it is difficult to hide from the border guards where the tanker came from, so on the way to the buyer, the cargo is moved from one tanker to another. Vessels undergo re-registration and safely depart for the United States with Russian fuel on board. It occurs off the coast of West Africa in the Mediterranean Sea. Sometimes the transfer takes place in the Black Sea, the publication reports. However, the scheme is not new; it has already been used to sell Iranian and Venezuelan oil.

Thus, it is possible to hide the origin of raw materials from the border guards. Although they may just be pretending not to know, because the US is really short of black gold right now - gas station prices continue to shock people, government reserves are diverging due to an attempt to contain prices, and the crisis is not in sight.

It may seem that these sanctions are meaningless, but in fact this is just the first stage, Russian analysts suggest. The pressure will only increase, and the next step of the US authorities may be restrictions on the countries that buy Russian oil. First of all, for India and China.

I read this earlier and IIRC, India is buying the light Russian crude, refining it, and selling it forward in a work-around of the sanctions.

Europe will survive. The EU as such, probably not in the same formation as previously. Unless it cuts off it’s entire face to spite the body and bans all products refined from components that could have originated in Russia.

Then, who knows? The EU political entity as constituted remains and all energy is simply unavailable or sourced on the black market? But energy is fungible and political/economic entities can change overnight, as we are seeing. Europe’s citizens may be forced into fuel poverty, but will the manufacturers also commit suicide?

And what happens to all those migrants in Europe? Do they stay when the good times end? If they do, can they force political or economic change?

Hard to see how all the micromanaging shakes out in the end.

“Thus, it is possible to hide the origin of raw materials from the border guards.”

But not from the refiners.

My view?

They stay, Riot and Subvert, make cities NO-Go-Zones, Muzzify the Politicians and Bureaucracies including "Police", boost the Dole and subsidies for Muzzies and take over.

All Europe will be Kosovo.
