Looks like more shoes are now dropping in the Paul Pelosi DUI arrest in Napa County, California.
As we’ve already reported, Pelosi, 82, the husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), was arrested on Saturday night shortly before midnight, at 11:44 PM, when he had an accident with another car. Fortunately, there were no injuries, but Pelosi was then charged with two misdemeanors: driving under the influence and driving with a blood-alcohol level at or above 0.08.
For some reason that hasn’t been fully explained yet, it took law enforcement officers more than four hours to book him after he was arrested. He wasn’t booked until 4:13 a.m. Was he resisting a breathalyzer? Causing a problem? Were they debating whether or not to charge him? It’s not clear. And if he was still blowing more than 0.08 after that time, what was he like at the time of the crash? He was released about three hours after he was booked on $5000 bail.
But now there’s more information on the accident. Pelosi was allegedly driving drunk when he piloted a 2021 Porsche through a stop sign while crossing State Route 29 and drove right into the path of an oncoming car driven by Jesus Lopez, 48, at about 10:26 p.m. So based on the report, Pelosi allegedly caused the crash. Notice he wasn’t driving an electric vehicle, but a nice gas-guzzling new Porsche.

Should have been a felony, just because..
There comes a time (astonishingly) when a woman under thirty beckons not.
I don't have any experience in this but where do normal people find a lawyer to show up in the middle of the night after a DUI arrest?
On the way to Damascus? Sobered him right up.
Accidents are destined to happen. Even Mary Magdalene mistook Jesus for the gardener.
...We’re they waiting for something to clear his bloodstream....
methinks that is correct what other explanation is plausible?
maybe waiting for an incoherent Nancy to sober up in Rhode Island to figure out how to deal with this
They’re saying they don’t have any video, no dash or body cams that were on during the pull over. I say bullshit due to the fact there was an accident involved.
According to the report, booking number 202200900, Pelosi was held on $5,000 bond. The report viewed by Gateway Pundit revealed further details of the events surrounding the arrest.
Police waited more than 4 hours to utilize a breathalyzer on Pelosi, in which time his blood alcohol content likely was reduced. There was no body cam or dash cam footage taken of the incident.
They had to get approval for the arrest from Christopher Wray. /s
They look like twelve-year-olds...
It’s not your call, the breathalyzer is evidence, not testimony. Lawyer has no say so over what evidence is gathered at a crime scene. Most state vehicle codes are written to consider submission to a breathalyzer as a condition of getting a license. If you don’t agree to take it it’s considered a refusal, which is a separate charge, usually carrying a license suspension as long as the DUI.
If you feel you are honestly under the blood alcohol limit, you get to play double or nothing, because you can still be charged with the DUI without the breathalyzer if there is evidence that you were operating the vehicle while impaired i.e. ran a stop sign, odor of alcohol, slurred speech, failed field sobriety test. If you pass the breathalyzer you can avoid all that.
I was always told to NEVER take a breathalyzer test under any circumstance. It gives them physical proof you were over the limit.
In fact you are better off NOT speaking to the officer at all.
Give them your license and registration and SHUT UP.
If I was married to Nazi Pelosi, I’d shoot myself for being one dumb ass motherf@#&*r
Not agreeing with the headline here. I don’t see what was so shocking about anything that was revealed in this article.
Was George Clooney aka 'Michael Clayton' observed at the NAPA County lockup that night? I'm sure that Paul Pelosi rates 24/7/365 legal coverage.
Delaying the blood test lowers the blood-alcohol level. Maybe the charges are different with lower blood-alcohol levels.
Well, his marriage has been economically enhanced. And he is a very rich man now and his ‘wife’ is more interested in the ice cream stocked int he massive freezer/fridge, so whats not to like for him?
The difference is an OUI, the second is the driving with a BA reading.
I understand.
Most lawyers will tell you to take the hit, don’t take the test, and live with the temporary suspension (If you have been drinking.). They often do the testing at a station because the “in vehicle” testing equipment isn’t maintained and calibrated well.
In MA the state cops don’t even use them. It all goes to the barracks.
97 percent of CHP california highway patrol do not have body cameras but they should have dash cam and perform the test in its view (good procedure for their protection but not required)
Blows through a stop sign and causes an accident, but isn’t charged with a moving violation? Biden’s wife did basically the same thing, and ended up killing herself, and her daughter, while injuring her two sons. She apparently wasn’t under the influence at the time though. I’m still wondering if Pelosi was alone in that Porsche. The cops aren’t saying, and I doubt the person in the Jeep won’t be talking soon. Probably paid off for the accident, and his/her silence.
