Russia will halt power supply to Finland on Saturday due to lack of payment.
According to Reuters, Russian utility Inter RAO will suspend the power supply to Finland due to non-payment since May 6.
The Finnish grid company said it can replace Russian electricity supply by importing more electricity from Sweden.
Sweden and Finland are both looking to join NATO.

I try not to be judgmental of those who have never served, because people don’t serve for a variety of reasons. But when people who, regardless of serving or not, are hostile to the principles of military service, I have a problem with that.

I’ve been an avid reader all my life. I have over 7,000 volumes in my house today, as there is only one thing more comforting than a good book, and that is my wife.
Rather than going to used book stores I go to library sales, where one can buy books by the bag (one of those brown grocery bags; fill it up with however many books will fit). The last time I did that the price was $5 per bag on the first day, and $2 per bag on the second. I concentrate on history books and good fiction, but will pick up anything that strikes my fancy.
And yet, I STILL go to the library once a week to check out books.
I love it.

A friend of mine worked in Russia with Russians for a few years. The phrase he used to describe the men over there was “highly dysfunctional”.
Being almost worthless drunks and having a work ethic worse than child seems the norm over there. Not to mention he got Russian women asking him to marry him to escape that hellhole.
His narrative paints a lot of common themes with the Russian “war effort” if you can call it that.
I guess time will tell if they can sober up and win this war?
