What's Going On In Pennsylvania
CTH ^ | 12 May 2022 | Sundance

Perhaps you’ve noticed. For the past two nights Fox News and a host of corporate allies have been doing a full-frontal attack against Pennsylvania Senate Candidate Kathy Barnette.

The club reaction appears to have been triggered by a GOP Trafalgar poll showing Kathy Barnette in a close second place (23.2%), surging ahead of David McCormick (21.6%) and right on the heels of Mehmet Oz (24.5%). [Bartos 7.2%, Sands 6.5%]

In this outline I will explain the easily visible GOPe club moves without trying to support any particular candidate, that’s for Pennsylvania voters to decide. However, once you understand the background play, it might help clarify what the Keystone state voters are witnessing.

BACKGROUND. President Trump has endorsed Mehmet Oz. However, many people in the MAGA base are stuggling with that endorsement because they just don’t like the guy and question the bonafides of his sudden, seemingly convenient, MAGA-mindedness.

Meanwhile, David McCormick is the GOPe candidate from the mold of the typically Wall Street Mitch McConnell tribe.

McCormick is the quintessential corporate republican, or what might be described as the ‘establishment’ party choice. I would call McCormick the club candidate.

Kathy Barnette is the alternative favorite in the race for the MAGA base who just cannot bring themselves to support Oz. Barnette is the outsider and carries a fierce independent streak that appeals to frustrated voters who have had enough of the nonsense.

As a result, the top three in the race break down into McCormick as the Club candidate, while Barnette and Oz are splitting the MAGA vote. By my estimation the MAGA support looks like 60%(ish) Barnette and 40%(ish) Oz. What is happening now in this race is very Karl Rove-ian.

Meanwhile, this primary is continuing proof of why people who love this country need to find MAGA red Donald Dem DINOs to run in ‘Rat primaries.

Until we’re do that, we’re fighting with one hand tied behind our backs.

Nominate Barnette or Dr Odd and get ready to lose in Nov.

There is a reason why the liberals a crossing over to vote for Barnette, she has no chance of winning in Nov.

The author neglected to mention that this race once had a front runner (Sean Parnell) who dropped out some time ago.

The GOP attracts all kinds of odd candidates to its primaries because it actually HAS primaries. The Democrats, on the other hand, rig their candidate selection process to get a front-runner identified early on and force the others out. The Dems can do this because the party is filled with useless stooges who don’t have solid employment prospects outside of government.

Which one does have a chance of winning in November? I say any one of the Republican candidates.By the time the elections are held in November our country will be so far gone the people of Pennsylvania will elect any Republican with a pulse.

Very ugly!!
Pennsylvanian my whole life, and I believe this is all Bourne outta the fact that Filthadelphia voted demoRAT 95%+.
The scumbag Pa GOP is a feckless worthless bunch who promise and under deliver ALL the time, and yet when have all 3 branches of state government run away from the Rats in a fight like a scared little girl!! Sorry girls, you actually are tougher than PA republicans!
Pa GOP are always looking for that candidate that plays to the vastly conservative state, yet will pull in Filthadelphia suburb left leaning republiturds within a limited field of acceptable candidates who will cave to the deep state Republiturd leadership.
PDJT fell into the trap here and supported the republiturd leadership lackey, lib enough for Filthadelphia candidate, yet retaining a R named candidate
Folks like me are tired of this play. Pa has had a lifetime of this and we are sick of it!!
Barnett or bust—-

She has no chance? How do you know this? Fetterman is not popular at all in this state and Barnette could easily beat “Lerch”…However, it’s the cheating in the election due to act 77 that is the actual concern.

She can beat him in a fair election. Oz is an idiot and can not win let alone debate well.

There is a reason why the liberals are crossing over to vote for Barnette, she has no chance of winning in Nov.

That is a bold claim.

If Kathy wins in the primary, I'll bet you $100 that she wins in November, loser pays the $100 to the FReepathon.

No Chance, hell, make that $200.

Pick which ever amount you want, or STFU with your unfounded predictions.

The PA GOP has been a corrupt, dysfunctional mess for a long time.

That’s why Trump endorsed a TV clown who had no connections to the state GOP and doesn’t even live in Pennsylvania.

Democrats are switching their registrations to Republican just to vote in the GOP primaries. They’re supporting Barnette for the Senate and Mastriano for governor because these two are the candidates they see as easiest to beat in November. They’re probably right.

You can cross over to vote in a primary but you have to change your registration 30 days before the primary {which I did to vote against hildabutchbitch} back when Rush was having fun messing with the demonRATs.

If you are registered as an Independent, you cannot vote in the primary because it is a closed system.

It is a hold over from the uni-party system where neither side cared who won, as long as they each got a piece of the pie {it still exists today, we just call it the swamp}.

Correct....we need to go into open primary states and elect conservatives to the Democrat positions . that will very quickly stop open primaries.
