The microprocessor unleashed a torrent of technological change. Much of it was ornamental, but some of it was truly novel, which triggered our collective amnesia about the human condition. It seems ridiculous now, but at the dawn of the internet age people thought it would usher in the long-promised age of democratic tranquility and equality.
Instead, America has become despotic and authoritarian. If you could transport fascists from a century ago to this age, they would assume that fascism had carried the day in the great ideological wars of the 20th century. Everything in American life is now controlled by a partnership between capital and the state. The one puzzle would be the labor chair occupied by the blue-haired Antifa harpy ranting about trans rights.
It took until 1938 for industrial-age man to remember what people knew since the time of Christ: that deeds matter more than words. At the late stages of the microprocessor revolution, we are learning that lesson again. It is not what people say that matters, but how they act. Their behavior reveals what they really think and what they prefer and not just in their consumer activity.

I for one, do not remember any such sentiment. What I do remember is the deep concern people had for their privacy, even before they bought their first Windows PC.
The more optimistic trope was popular on campus.

What it has done is enhanced the human penchant for tribalism, the desire to be with their own.
It’s done so by allowing easier access and communication with members of the tribe anywhere in the nation and even the world.
In a way, it has eliminated the barriers of geography.
Tribalism, by whites, is being destroyed everywhere in the world.
All mostly white countries are being destroyed by non white immigrants.
I would move to a different country that is homogeneous and white.

I agree about white tribes being destroyed everywhere, but I disagree as to who’s doing the destroying.
Sadly and depressingly, the chief destroyers of the white tribes are whites themselves. Specifically a subgroup of whites who have convinced themselves that they and their history are responsible for all the misery in the world and thus they have guilted themselves into a state of suicidal self-loathing. The other subgroup responsible are the rest of us who have just sat on our asses and just watch it happen.
Who invited and continues to invite and let in the hoards from the third world? US, Germany, Sweden, France, UK etc etc. These were overwhelmingly white countries that could have easily kept these hoards out, but they chose not to.
So if you want to find out who’s destroying the white tribe all we have to do is collectively look in the mirror.
Don’t blame the blacks, the Mexicans, the Chinese, etc for coming in through an open door with a red carpet and promises of a much better life for taking advantage of the opportunity. If you were in their shoes you’d do the same, right?

Amen to that! Women have a lot of wonderful qualities, but their decisions are mostly based on emotions rather than rationality. Having them in critical leadership position, more often than not doesn’t turn out well. The Golda Meirs and Thatchers are the rare exceptions.
