A visitor for breakfast at an Old Town Clovis restaurant decided not to leave a tip – but a political message instead.

The unknown breakfast eater dined at the Rodeo Coffee Shop on Sunday morning, but instead of leaving the customary tip on the bill at the end of their meal wrote that they were “sending a tip to LGBT youth in Florida & Planned Parenthood.”

The message was left after the unidentified diner had consumed their coffee, cinnamon roll (with nuts) and two pancakes with bacon.

Unless the waitstaff bombarded you with leftist attitude, why would you deprive them of a tip if they gave you good service? They might be supporting children or elderly relatives with their tips and wages. Why turn into virtue-signaling piker?

The bill was $26.31. Let's for simplicity sake say a reasonable tip would have been $5.00.

I’ve talked with some servers I know and the worst tippers and customers are liberals.

It's been a few decades for me as a cook, but the waitresses often got low amounts from groups of women, AND they would often request separate checks. Groups of men would split it even or do the math and leave a good or very good tip.
