There is plenty of opportunity for “surprise revelations” to see the light of day during the trial itself. Cross examination of the clinton lackeys should be very interesting.

One thing I’ve learned in watching things unfold over the past 5 years is that the deep state, which is to say EVERYONE involved with any of these agencies of the administrative state, views the government like they view their own family, to be protected and preserved at all cost.

So they may find a problem here or there than required punishment or improvements to procedures, just like a parent might discipline a child. But there is never a thought given to abandoning the child which would damage the family. In the same way, the deep state actors never consider that the agencies may be rotten to the core and should be completely revamped or shut down. It is as unthinkable as disowning their own child.

If there are good examples to the contrary I’ll be happy to consider them but to be honest, I think every single one from Jeff Sessions to Peter Strozk shares this view. Deal with bad actors but protect and preserve the agency at all cost.
