I actually had a family member who opened a restaurant but was too cheap to get ADT to install security cameras. What he did was get those stick on cameras which looked connected but weren’t. This went on for many months.

I know a local bar to this day that has the exact same fake set-up as your talking about. He tells his new hires that they better not steal out of the cash register or he’ll have them on video lol. Of course they believe him.
