The EXTREME lockdown in Shanghai is bringing out an incredible level of weirdness. In fact things have gotten so weird there that Chinese authorities are even warning chickens about COVID rules which could be peak weirdness only exceeded by a Chinese authority warning someone about his social media posts while holding a lit cigarette while masked. For bonus Shanghai weirdness we see a fish being tested for COVID.

Maybe the biggest weirdness is why the Chinese are so panicked over the Omicron variant which has a very low mortality rate yet provides immunity more effectively than vaccines.
