Emmanuel Macron is said to want to face Marine Le Pen in the second round of this year's election because he can run against her as "racist" and "extreme" and "far-right" and draw the left into joining with his "centrist" voters.
Marine Le Pen seems in a stronger position than she was five years ago when she lost the second round to Macron 66-34 percent.
Le Pen focusing her message on economic issues as the economic threat has increased due to COVID and the sanctions imposed on Russia over Ukraine...
Is Marine Le Pen on her way to "breaking the glass ceiling" and becoming the first woman in the Elysee Palace?
Needless to say a question not being posed in the mainstream media today...
Le Pen poised for a second place finish if the polls are to be believed...

If you can access bloomberg, some good live updates here:
“The cratering of establishment politics in France continues. Pollsters estimate mid-to-low single-digit scores for the two mainstream Left and Right parties that dominated politics for decades. French voters increasingly want more radical answers, and this will have an impact on the second round.”
“Macron Has 28.1%-29% of French Vote: 5 Pollster Estimates
Le Pen Has 23.3%-24.9% of French Vote: 5 Pollster Estimates
Melenchon Has 20%-20.2% of French Vote: 5 Pollster Estimates”
Thanks
It would be great to see Le Pen win this. It could really slow down the leftist cancer. Sadly l don’t see it happening and l don’t see it being allowed to happen.
A tall order for Le Pen it would take some serious economic disruption in the next two weeks I expect more drama from Ukraine between now and then and it will be used against Le Pen.
Vive Le Pen
Agree l think her chances are between slim and none but it would have been a very good thing for her to win.
Forget the polls. The populace of France is increasingly dissatisfied with current immigration policies with all the rapes and other crimes by the lowlife migrants they accepted over the years, especially from the Arab Spring. They can thank Obambi and Hitlery for that.
France has the same issues we do. RCV and RCV-enabled voting machines.
The leading candidates
Macron (EC-RE): 28.5% (+4.5)
Le Pen (RN-ID): 23.3% (+2.3)
Mélenchon (LFI-LEFT): 20.3% (+0.7)
It’s a bad sign that Macron plus an actual communist together got 48,8% of the vote.
The Left is strong in France.
Sounds spiffy...until you read the entire article.

I agree, it is silly to look at the polls with any trust. Especially since Le Pen has been within the margin of error on a few recent polls.
